  • Patent number: 7065772
Abstract: To make the shape of parts simple, the transmission changeover well timed and reliable, and the size reduce, a transmission changeover mechanism in a disc apparatus includes a rotary control piece which is spring-biased to rotate in one direction, and has a transmission switching gear wheel fixed thereto. A retainer post stands on the chassis prevents rotation of the rotary control piece. A catch pin stands the rotary control piece. A cam rib is formed on lower surface of the traverse rack in confronting relation with the rotary control plate which is so configured as to make the rotary control piece release from the retainer post, and at the same time make the catch pin follow the rib contour, thereby allowing the transmission switching gear wheel to couple or decouple from the tray feeding gear wheel.

  • Patent number: 7054125
Abstract: The present X-ray protector requires no raising of a voltage to be impressed to a cathode ray tube (CRT) and no complicated control procedure for testing the X-ray protector's operation. The voltage applied to the CRT is detected by a detection winding of a flyback transformer and a detection circuit. An input line, which includes a resistor inputs a signal based on the detected voltage to a microcomputer. The microcomputer controls whether a transistor is conductive or unconductive. An emitter of the transistor is connected to one terminal of the resistor, and a collector is connected to the other terminal of the resistor. When the transistor is conductive both ends of the resistor are short-circuited causing the electric voltage of a signal input to the microcomputer to be raised, thereby enabling testing of the X-ray protector without the need to apply a higher than normal voltage to the CRT.

  • Patent number: 7030908
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for preventing appearance of a zigzag flush of light in a cathode-ray tube at the time of turning it off. A train of power-off control pulses are produced in synchronization with the vertical sweeping signal; a spot-killer control signal starts in synchronization with a selected power-off pulse to make the whole screen of the cathode-ray tube bright; and the power supply turns off in synchronization with another selected power-off control pulse, so that the power-off is caused at the termination of the vertical sweeping. Thus, the remaining static electricity is discharged at the lowermost of the screen of the cathode-ray tube. To assure that the residual static electricity is discharged completely, the length of time “t1” (continuing for a selected integer as long as the pulse-to-pulse duration) is determined to meet the size of the cathode-ray tube.
