Abstract: Each sensor in an array of sensors detects and signals when an edge of a wafer passes by the sensor on a wafer handling component of a robot. A number (N) of detected wafer edge locations is determined. Each detected wafer edge location is a set of coordinates (x, y) in a coordinate system of the wafer handling component. For each unique set of (N?1) of the number (N) of detected wafer edge locations, an estimated wafer offset is determined that substantially minimizes a performance index value. The estimated wafer offset is a vector extending from a center of the coordinate system of the wafer handling component to an estimated center location of the wafer. A final wafer offset is identified as the estimated wafer offset that has a smallest corresponding performance index value. The final wafer offset is used to center the wafer at a target station.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system to quantify tension forces of the anchor bolts for, e.g., SLTS support structures. A sensing assembly comprising one or more washers is installed along an anchor bolt. The sensing assembly comprises two spaced-apart surfaces between which a capacitance can be measured if electrical potential is created between the surfaces. The capacitance between the surfaces can be calibrated to bolt tension based on the relative distance between the surfaces. An RFRD circuit is connected to the two surfaces. An RF interrogation signal can supply the electrical potential and allow a reading of the responsive capacitance between surfaces to convert the capacitance reading into a bolt tension. Additionally, the introduction of the battery-free RFRD allows data to be acquired wirelessly from a distance, enabling an entirely new method of inspection. With minimum additional hardware cost, it provides a cost-effective way to replace traditional bolt installation and inspection methods.

Abstract: A swimming posture correction method and a swimming posture correction system, adapted for a computing apparatus to correct a swimming posture of a swimmer using at least two gravity sensors, are provided. The gravity sensors are respectively disposed at ends of at least two limbs of the swimmer performing a relative stroke action. In the method, body parameters of the swimmer are obtained and a reference index of coordination for implementing a swimming posture suitable for the body parameters is captured. A stroke of the limb is monitored using the gravity sensors to obtain a timing diagram of the limbs performing a stroke promotion action. Then, an index of coordination of the swimmer is calculated by analyzing the timing diagram and compared with the reference index of coordination so as to prompt for correcting the swimming posture according to a comparison result.

Abstract: Genomic DNA contains embedded ribonucleotides (rNMPs) that are incorporated during DNA replication and repair, or formed during DNA damage. The modifications have been linked to genome instability and disease, but no method currently exists to profile their locations genome-wide. rNMP incorporation has been extensively studied in recent years; however, locating sites of rNMP incorporation in genomic DNA has not yet been possible. Disclosed herein is a unique method for mapping rNMPs in genomic DNA that exploits the unique ligation mechanism of Arabidopsis thaliana tRNA ligase (AtRNL), normally involved in tRNA maturation. As disclosed herein AtRNL captures 2?,3?-cyclic phosphate or 2?-phosphate termini of DNA derived from alkaline cleavage of a DNA oligonucleotide (oligo) at an embedded rNMP, ligating the 2?-phosphate end to the 5?-phosphate terminus of the same DNA molecule and producing a ssDNA circle containing an embedded rNMP.

Abstract: Disclosed is technology for providing a proper UI/UX through various devices or services when occurrence of registered concerned context is predicted or recognized in order to predict or recognize the circumstances that require attention or emotion control with regard to a change in his/her biological information With this, a user designates his/her own biological information range or emotional state with regard to circumstances which catch his/her attention, and registers concerned context by selectively designating attributes of circumstantial elements. Further, a user registers feedback desired to be given and an external device/service desired to interface with when the occurrence of the concerned context is predicted or recognized. According to the attributes of the circumstances designated in the registered concerned context, points in time for collecting and managing UX data are automatically determined, thereby processing and managing the UX data as useful information.

Abstract: A skeletal fixation apparatus may include two or more bodies that are attached to two or more screws that have been inserted into vertebral bodies associated with a patient. The apparatus may also include two or more cylindrical members that are attached to the bodies to control the movement or alignment of the bodies when the skeletal fixation apparatus is being installed in the patient. The apparatus may further include a rod that includes a first curvature and a second curvature. The first curvature may be different than the second curvature and may be based on a medical diagnosis associated with stabilizing the vertebral bodies. The second curvature may enable the bodies to be immovably fastened to the rod in a manner that precludes the cylindrical members from contacting each other or causing a false torque condition to exist when the skeletal fixation apparatus is installed in the patient.
