Abstract: A system and method of patient bed communication and bed-to-room association in a healthcare facility having a network with at least one wireless access point (WAP) and a nurse call system is provided. A handheld unit is moved to a position within a pairing distance of a pairing zone of a patient bed so that the handheld unit and the bed are paired using a first wireless communication technology. A second wireless communication technology is used to send bed identification data (ID) to the handheld unit after the pairing operation has been completed. The bed ID is transmitted from the handheld unit to the nurse call system via a wired connection to establish a bed-to-room association between the patient bed and a room in which the patient bed is located. A third wireless communication technology is used to send bed status data and the bed ID to the WAP of the network.

The asset is associated with one or more shipping operations. Based at least in part on the one or more identifiers, it is determined that the asset is requested for return. Based at least in part on the one or more identifiers, a shipping label corresponding to a destination location for the asset to be returned to is automatically generated or a location for the asset to be delivered to is automatically changed.

Abstract: A system (1) for analyzing an audio to measure oral reading fluency or progress in oral reading fluency (2) in a text illustrated through the audio. The system (1) includes an input unit (3) which receives a target audio (4) from a user. The target audio (4) relates to an oral reading of the text by the user. The system (1) further includes a transcribing unit (5) which receives and processes the target audio (4) and generates a target transcription (6) of the target audio (4). The system (1) also includes a processing unit (7) which receives and processes at least one of the target transcription (6), the text (8), the target audio (4), or a reference audio (9), or combination thereof, and generates a primary metrics (10) having various parameters measuring reading fluencies. The system supports user specific dictionary customization to incorporate non-dictionary words in the analysis.

Abstract: At least one processor is configured for defining a plurality of mutually exclusive customer treatment groups, including in accordance with first and second algorithms, to receive content items. Content items are respectively provided to a random customer treatment group as well as first and second algorithm customer treatment groups, and metrics representing at least engagement by each of the customers are determined and analyzed. A selection of the first or the second algorithm is made. The at least one processor is configured to provide, to at least some of the plurality of customers, content items in accordance with the selected algorithm.

The aerosol-generating system also includes a heater configured to heat liquid aerosol-forming substrate, a vibratable element including a plurality of passages through which the heated liquid aerosol-forming substrate passes to form an aerosol, and an actuator arranged to vibrate the vibratable element to generate the aerosol.

Abstract: Methods and kits for assembling a flow cage assembly are provided. The flow cage assembly may be used in a traveling valve, a standing valve, or a top plunger adapter of a downhole reciprocating pump. In some embodiments, the method comprises assembling a body, a tubular insert, and a retaining element such that the retaining element forms an interference fit with the body and thereby securely retains the tubular insert within the body. Top plunger adapters are also provided, assembled from embodiments of the methods and kits.

The system may authenticate, based on an agent identification associated with the agent, the agent in association with providing the vehicle service. The system may send, based on authenticating the agent, an authorization request to a user associated with the vehicle, wherein the authorization request is sent to a user device associated with the user that enables the user to authorize the agent to access the vehicle in association with providing the vehicle service. The system may receive, from the user device, a user authorization that authorizes the agent to access the vehicle. The system may configure the vehicle to enable the agent to access the vehicle via a client device associated with the agent.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for providing seller-initiated financing in a sale of an item between private parties. A financial service system configures a financing program to give sellers the opportunity to offer prospective buyers financing directly. The financial service system enrolls a given seller in the program, providing resources and services to the seller to help market the sale and select a credit-worthy buyer. Once the transaction is completed, the financial service system transfers proceeds to the seller, then configures a loan account and payment plan for the buyer. Alternatively, the program can be implemented with an intermediate service provider, such as an online marketplace retailer. The service provider enrolls the seller and assists with marketing and buyer selection, and the financial service system transfers proceeds to the seller and service provider, and configures a loan account and payment plan for the buyer.

Abstract: A method includes receiving historical interaction data, which includes a plurality of historical interactions. Each historical interaction is associated with a plurality of data fields. The method includes assigning a plurality of weights to the plurality of data fields, generating a neural network using the plurality of weights and the plurality of data fields, identifying a first plurality of feature indicators indicative of a first class, the first class being different from a second class; receiving a second plurality of feature indicators derived from data relating to compromised accounts, updating, a probability distribution component using the first plurality of feature indicators and the second plurality of feature indicators, and receiving current data for an interaction. The method also includes applying the probability distribution component to the current data, and scoring the interaction using the probability distribution component.

Abstract: Aspects described herein may relate to a transaction exchange platform using a streaming data platform (SDP) and microservices to process transactions according to review and approval workflows. The transaction exchange platform may receive transactions from origination sources, which may be added to the SDP as transaction objects. Microservices on the transaction exchange platform may interact with the transaction objects based on configured workflows associated with the transactions. Processing on the transaction exchange platform may facilitate clearing and settlement of transactions. Some aspects may provide for pausing the processing of transactions during a workflow. Other aspects may provide for a messaging microservice that permits communications between the transaction exchange platform and external third-parties.

Abstract: Systems and methods for informed mobility platform for a customer service supervisor within a distribution facility are disclosed. One embodiment may be a supervisor mobile terminal including a transceiver circuit, a user interface and a controller. The transceiver circuit may wirelessly communicate with a server computer a plurality of sets of data relating to the customer service activities. The user interface may display at least one set of the plurality of sets of data and receive an instruction to modify the at least one set of data the plurality of sets of data. The controller may control the user interface to modify the at least one set of data based on the instruction and control the transceiver circuit to wirelessly communicate the modified data with the server computer such that the at least one set of data stored in the server computer is updated with the modified data.

Abstract: A multi-table data validation tool is run following migration of data from a source database to a target database. The multi-table data validation tool extracts data from source and target locations into memory, transforms data and masks confidential data as needed, then performs two types of data comparison, including row count and data content comparison. Result files of each comparison are available to the migration team, enabling updates and improvements to the migration tools. The multi-table data validation tool may further be used to extract requested data from either the source database or the target database. The multi-table data validation tool may be dockerized as a container for ease of deployment in different environments.

Abstract: Embodiments extend protocols for secure communication between two parties to allow a party to securely communicate with multiple parties using a single message. For example, the sending party can determine a unique shared secret for each recipient and encrypt data for a recipient using a session key generated from the corresponding shared secret. The encrypted data can be combined into a single message, and each recipient can decrypt only the subset of the message that it is authorized to.

Abstract: A system and a method for evaluating a subterranean earth formation include a logging tool locatable in a wellbore dispose in the formation. The logging tool may include a transmitter antenna and a single receiver antenna. The transmitter antenna is configured to transmit a first electromagnetic signal into the subterranean earth formation. The system further includes a processor and a non-transitory memory device. The memory device includes instructions that cause the processor to control a current and a voltage sourced to the transmitter antenna, receive, via the single receiver antenna, a second electromagnetic signal emitted by the subterranean earth formation in response to receiving the first electromagnetic signal, and determine a resistivity of the subterranean earth formation based on the second electromagnetic signal.

Abstract: Systems as described herein may analyze big data to generate predictions for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings and/or other subscription-based software. A prediction system may receive small business transaction data comprising payment information between a plurality of merchants and a software vendor. The prediction system may receive enterprise merchant insights information. The prediction system may identify, based on the small business transaction data and the enterprise merchant insights information, recurring transactions using a first machine learning model. The prediction system may generate an average contract price and a confidence score, using a second machine learning model. The prediction system may generate a recommendation comprising a renewal rate. Based on a determination that a service provided by the software vendor is coming due for renewal, the prediction system may send, to a particular merchant, an alert associated with the renewal and the recommendation.

Abstract: A travel joint may accommodate relative movement between an upper and lower completion for communication of well fluids and control signals, while protecting the control lines used for signal control In one example, the travel joint has an upper tubular member telescopically coupled to the lower tubular member to collectively define a flow path for well fluids through the travel joint. A plurality of telescoping control line conduits are secured about a travel joint periphery, each including an outer tube telescopically coupled to an inner tube to accommodate relative movement between the upper and lower tubular members. A control line routed through each telescoping control line conduit. A dynamic or expanding/hardening seal interface may be provided in the control line conduit to protect the control lines routed therethrough.

Abstract: A method and system of protecting network activity of mobile devices is disclosed. Specifically, the methods and systems enable the detection of surveillance signals targeting or potentially targeting a user's personal device and automatically triggering a protective response to safeguard the user's information. The proposed systems can provide mobile device users with a powerful security capability by enabling their device to automatically disconnect from one or more networks and/or emitting a protective jamming signal in response to the detection of nearby potential surveillance activities.

Abstract: An electronic device receives operational data indicative of an operational characteristic of a vehicle from a sensor of the electronic device, a sensor of the vehicle, and/or images/videos captured by a camera. The electronic device determines that the vehicle has had a potential incident and a likelihood that the potential incident has actually occurred based on analysis of the operational data. The electronic device also receives risk management data associated with the vehicle from a database, and determines a severity level for the potential incident based on the operational data and the risk management data. The electronic device then sends a notification indicative of the potential incident based on the likelihood that the potential incident has actually occurred and the severity level for the potential incident to a third-party remote system (e.g., of a towing service, an emergency service, or both) to request assistance.
