Abstract: A controlled substance dispensing form is provided. The form includes a face sheet, a liner ply, an imaging interface interposed between the face sheet and the liner ply, and an adhesive interposed between the face sheet and the liner ply. In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, a controlled substance dispensing form is provided comprising a face sheet, a liner ply, an imaging interface interposed between the face sheet and the liner ply, and an adhesive interposed between the face sheet and the liner ply to secure the face sheet to the liner ply. The liner ply is configured to define an upper liner ply surface, a lower liner ply surface, and a plurality of releasable liner ply portions. The adhesive is configured to define respective reusable adhesive portions. The face sheet is configured to define an upper face sheet surface and a lower face sheet surface and a plurality of label portions.
Abstract: An apparatus for and a method of stabilizing the laser power and frequency of a radio frequency excited laser, which are adapted to lock the laser power and frequency of the laser at the vertex of a laser gain curve using an optogalvanic effect generated from the laser itself, thereby stabilizing the laser power and frequency without requiring any specific unit to be arranged inside or outside a cavity of the laser. A capacitor is coupled to a radio frequency inlet of the radio frequency discharge tube. The capacitor serves to induce a part of radio frequency energy, introduced into the radio frequency discharge tube, toward a detector, so that the optogalvanic signal is measured, based on the induced signal, after removing radio frequency components from the induced signal by the detector, thereby enabling a measurement of a variation in input radio frequency energy caused by the optogalvanic effect.

Abstract: A coal/coke sample is heated under controlled circumstances as a step in determining content of volatile matter. The sample is placed in a crucible having a lid and which is suspended by means of a crucible holder in a heating cavity of a furnace. The invention provides precisely, mechanically guiding the crucible holder and crucible into and out of the cavity to prevent inadvertent touching of the cavity wall by the crucible and thus also to prevent possible dislodging of the lid and spoiling of the sample. The crucible holder is secured to a lid of the furnace, and the furnace lid is guided along upwardly extending guide rods. Lifting and lowering of the lid may be manually. Instead, it may be hydraulically or pneumatically.
Abstract: An over-wrap label for a container includes a label substrate having a first end and a second end, a first major surface and a second major surface. The first major surface includes a first area of adhesive material adapted to secure the first end of the label substrate to the container, a second area of adhesive material adjacent to the second end of the label substrate, and at least one portion of the first major surface remains free of adhesive. The second major surface includes an area of release material, the label being of a size such that the second end of the label substrate extends around the container and overlaps the first end. The second end is releasably securable to the second major surface of the label substrate by contacting the second area of adhesive material with the area of release material.
Abstract: An order entry system is provided comprising a first computer system, a printing station computer system, a form design repository, a second computer system, a validation engine, and a pricing engine. The first computer system captures form design data and the second computer generates a form price, validates the form, and transmits a validated and priced order to the printing station computer system. The second computer is also programmed to store an index of form design files in the form design repository. The forms order entry system is also programmed to determine manufacturability of an ordered form by comparing its form design data to a set of validation rules and route manufacturability exceptions to a selected one of a plurality of exception handling locations. The pricing engine determines identified labor, material, burden, and mark-up cost components, and applies a set of pricing rules to them, to enable calculation of a form price.

Abstract: A sanitary fitting with a cartridge, a mixer and a spout which is built integrally with a housing and can be swivelled around the mixer, whereby the housing glides on at least one sliding ring located in a groove provided in the mixer. The external dimensions of the fitting are kept as small as possible. The diameter of the mixer is smaller than the diameter of the cartridge and a spacer, preferably made of plastic, is placed between the cartridge and the mixer, whereby the spacer has on the side facing the cartridge at least the diameter of the cartridge. Alternatively or in addition, a washer can be inserted into the groove for the sliding ring to seal the mixer from the housing.

Abstract: Oil cooling is accomplished in a refrigeration chiller by flowing hot oil into heat exchange contact with liquid refrigerant which is sourced from the chiller's condenser and returned thereto. The rejection of heat from the oil to the refrigerant in an oil-cooling heat exchanger causes vaporization of the refrigerant and, in turn, creates a density difference in the refrigerant flowing from the condenser and refrigerant in and downstream of the oil-cooling heat exchanger. This density difference is responsible for inducing and maintaining refrigerant flow through the heat exchanger for oil cooling purposes.

Abstract: A wire retainer for use in an air conditioning outdoor cabinet which houses a fan and a spine fin heat exchanger coil includes an extension portion, a base portion and a clip portion. The extension portion of the wire retainer is anchor-like and includes fluke-like members that, when inserted into and through spine fin material, lodge securely therein. The base portion of the retainer abuts the spine fin of the heat exchanger coil and positions the clip portion such that wires or a wire bundle running interior of the coil can be guided and secured appropriately so as not to be cut by the fan or buffeted and broken by the relatively high velocity, high volume stream of air that is drawn by the fan through the interior of the air conditioning cabinet and the heat exchanger coil housed therein.
Abstract: A refrigeration unit having a compressor includes a refrigerant gas inlet, a drive shaft, and at least one compression stage. At least one compression stage includes at least one impeller with a hub, the hub having a radially lobed bore. The drive shaft has a radially lobed portion complementary to the radially lobed bore of the impeller hub. The lobed portion of the drive shaft is received in the bore to define a coupling for transmitting torque from the drive shaft to the impeller. This coupling may have three lobes. The compressor may have more than one stage and more than one impeller. The first stage impeller is closer to the refrigerant gas inlet than the second stage impeller. The second stage impeller has a hub and radially lobed bore, wherein a second radially lobed portion of the drive shaft can be inserted to define another coupling. The cross-sectional area of this second coupling may be greater than the cross-sectional area of the first coupling.
Abstract: The present invention provides a controller for an air compressor system. The air compressor system includes an air compressor, control unloaders on the air compressor to prevent the air compressor from compressing gases when signaled to unload, an electric motor for driving the air compressor, and a tank for receiving and storing compressed gases from the air compressor. The controller has an adjustable pressure switch to raise or lower the discharge pressure. The differential pressure is pre-set in the pressure switch. The controller includes two methods of operating the air compressor, each of which is manually selected by operating a switch that will designate start/stop control or automatic dual control at the option of the operator. The start/stop control will start the motor when the pressure in the system reaches a predetermined low point. When the preselected high pressure point is reached, a signal is sent to the motor to stop, thereby ending the compressing cycle.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for using a programmable variable speed motor to indicate a clogged filter while providing a constant airflow acrcss a wide range of restrictions. A motor has speed and airflow parameters and a built-in constant airflow regulator. A blower unit is connected to the motor to draw air from the inlet to the outlet. A filter reduces airborne particles as air is forced from the inlet to the outlet by operation of the motor and blower. A control system adjusts the airflow parameter of the motor based on the motor speed and environmental conditions such as light and motion. If an electronic air cleaner filter is employed, a discharge counter counts the frequency of pops occurring across the electrodes of that filter. The control system adjusts the voltage across those electrodes based on the discharge counter values.
Abstract: An enhanced motor cooling and lubrication system for a liquid chiller includes a liquid refrigerant cooled compressor drive motor, wherein the refrigerant used to cool the drive motor is returned to the chiller's condenser, and apparatus to better facilitate the return of oil carried to the compressor entrained in the suction gas flow stream back to the chiller's oil supply tank.
Abstract: A scroll compressor has a discharge check valve assembly comprised of a valve and a valve cage. The valve is maintained open within the assembly by the flow of discharge gas from the scroll set during the normal course of compressor operation and is essentially unaffected by momentary gas backflow and/or momentary pressure pulsations that can repetitively occur in the discharge pressure portion of the compressor shell during such operation. At the same time, the valve is quickly responsive to close the discharge port to gas backflow upon compressor shutdown. A dash pot volume, defined between the discharge valve and its cage, is vented to the discharge pressure portion of the compressor shell and is such that the valve is maintained open and does not chatter in the face of momentary gas backflow and/or pressure pulsations yet closes quickly when the compressor shuts down to prevent the backflow of high pressure gas to the scroll set.
