Abstract: An apparatus and a method for the testing of circuit boards, together with a test probe for this apparatus and this method, in which the contact tips of a test finger of a finger tester are monitored during the testing process by an optical detection device and their movement, at least when approaching a part of the circuit board test points of a circuit board to be tested, is corrected on the basis of the result determined by the optical detection device in such a way that the contact tip makes reliable contact with the circuit board test point concerned. The correction data hereby obtained may be used in the calculation of calibration data.
Abstract: A device for sensing an obstacle in said opening range of an automotive closure element movable between an open position and and closed position, more particularly an electrically powered door window (20) or sunroof is provided with a weatherseal (30) sealing the window pane (20). The weatherseal (30) is made of an elastomeric material and secured to a frame (12) of the motor vehicle (10). The device comprises in addition a sensor for sensing an obstacle in the opening range of the closure element (20), the sensor comprising at least one electrical conductor (40) generating an electrical field (F) in the opening range of the closure element (20). The device achieves by simple ways and means an engineered orientation of the electrical field such that any interference by the closure element (20) to the capacitive change in the electrical field (F) is precluded by reason of conductive means (50) comprising a conductive surface (51) made of an electrically conductive material.

Control means for the X-ray apparatus are provided with exposure time correction data for given mains voltages and the current mains voltage is measured before and/or during exposure and the exposure time is corrected in accordance with the correction data, and to an X-ray apparatus for carrying out said method.
Abstract: A process produces cling-fastener parts with a large number of interlocking members (24) from a formulation encompassing radiation-crosslinkable prepolymers. The prepolymer is molded, cast, and/or compression molded into the shape of a large number of interlocking members (24) together with a cling-fastener base (21), and is then radiation-cured. The apparatus producing the cling fasteners encompasses a feed (32, 10) for the formulation (14) of radiation-crosslinkable, in particular acrylic, prepolymers, at least one shaping roll (11) and one backing roll (12). The shaping roll (11) has a large number of radial cutouts (17). A source of UV radiation (19), or an electron-beam source, provides radiation curing of the molded radiation-curable formulation.

Abstract: A method and device for identifying objects, especially teeth, on a digitized X-ray picture, by using image processing algorithms to localize areas containing the object by segmenting and/or edge detection, these areas being computationally linked with parameters of the X-ray unit and, optionally, with patient-heightened specific parameters. Another method and device for assigning information to objects, especially teeth, determined in a digitized X-ray picture or in a schematic representation, includes a first step detecting the digitized X-ray image for the schematic representation, a second step in which a determination of objects manually or automatically ensues in the event these objects have not yet been determined, a third step selecting the object for which additional information should be stored, retrieved or deleted, and a fourth step in which a reference that is stored is followed for a query operation to determine the information displayed by using such reference.
Abstract: A method for detecting and representing one or more objects, such as teeth, their preparations and their immediate environment, using a camera. A first recording is made wherein a still image is produced. The still image is blended into a current, mobile search image in at least one sub-area in the second step, so that both images are recognizable. In the third step, the camera is positioned in such a way that the search image overlaps the blended-in still image in at least one sub-area. The second recording process is initiated in a fourth step.

Abstract: A magazine bar having an entry and an exit for guiding a line of clips from a clip supply arranged above a separating window of a closure apparatus to the substantially vertically arranged separating window. The magazine bar has a first deflection configuration such that the line of clips can be introduced into the entry from below. A further embodiment is a clip feed arrangement having such a magazine bar.
Abstract: In a device and method for fixing toner images on a carrier web, rinsing chambers from which a mixture of solvent vapor and air is drawn off are located before and after a fixing chamber. The mixture is passed through a condenser, the discharge of which is re-supplied to the rinsing chambers.

Abstract: The invention relates to a simple and cost-effective method for aligning substrates. In order to achieve this, the invention provides a device for aligning disc-shaped substrates, in particular semiconductor wafers, comprising an alignment detection unit, at least one first support for receiving the substrate, which forms an oblique plane in relation to the horizontal, a stop against which the substrate can be displaced as a result of the oblique angle and a rotational device for rotating the substrate.
Abstract: The present invention relates to swivel arm (21) of a ceiling-mounted stand, said arm consisting of a hollow profile and comprising an upper side (5) and a bottom side (6) arranged opposite thereto, a lateral opening (11) that corresponds to the profile cross-section and can be closed with a cover (3), an upper opening (9) in the upper side (5) that is provided for a bearing point, and a mounting opening (4) in the bottom side that is arranged opposite to the upper opening. By providing the mounting opening (4) in the bottom side (6) opposite to the opening (9) of the arm (21), insertion of a cable harness or tube package from the upper opening (9) into the arm (21) is facilitated to an essential degree.

Abstract: Disclosed is a uniquely identifiable identification system incorporated into an X-ray testing apparatus or into this system, so that each operator can log onto the operating system only with his or her own individual identification. The identification is read and optionally rewritten by a counterpart device of the identification system. Upon leaving the operating system, the operator is automatically logged off by way of removing the identification device, or by way of exiting from a defined local area around the X-ray testing apparatus, and the operating system is then ready for access by another operator.

Abstract: In a method for suppressing interferences while detecting objects in a target area, a transmitter transmits a sequence of pulses into the target area, and a receiver detects the resulting reflection signal of the pulses reflected from the objects, within successive time windows that are referenced to the moment of transmitting an individual pulse and thus represent distance gates. The time spacing between the successive individual pulses is variable and randomized according to the pseudo-noise principle within predetermined limits, and the time windows are adapted accordingly. The received reflection signal may be sampled, digitized, digitally pre-processed and digitally filtered in the individual distance gates. A non-linear digital filter, preferably a sliding median filter, is used for the filtering to suppress transient disturbances. The median is determined from an odd number of consecutive sampled values of a reflection signal detected within a distance gate.
