  • Patent number: 7047340
Abstract: A parallel databus assembly and method includes modules connected to parallel signal lines, each of the modules having a databus driver being in immediate connection with the signal lines and a controller connected to the databus driver. At least some of the parallel signal lines are data lines for transmitting data or control lines for controlling the data transmission of the data via the data lines. A clock generator for generating a bus frequency with which the signals transmitted in the signal lines are clocked is connected to the databus drivers. The databus drivers are fashioned such that the signals to be transmitted from and to the data lines and the control lines are accepted during a clock pulse prescribed by the clock generator and are emitted during a following clock pulse.

  • Patent number: 7044539
Abstract: A motor vehicle roof is provided which includes a cover which can be moved into a raised position at its rear edge by a carriage which can be moved along guide rails in interaction with a cover carrier connected to the cover via a crank arrangement. The crank arrangement has at least one crank path and at least one sliding element which fits into the crank arrangement. For simple and reliable support of the cover in all phases, the crank arrangement preferably includes at least two crank paths and two sliding elements, wherein the crank paths are shaped and arranged such that when the carriage moves, a first sliding element assumes support of the cover in the direction of the height of the vehicle roof (Z-direction), while a second sliding element applies support in the lengthwise direction of the vehicle (X-direction). As the carriage continues to be displaced, a reversal of the supporting action of the two sliding elements occurs.

  • Patent number: 7040479
Abstract: A supply holds a flattened box blank above a conveyor passing having a succession of box seats, and a planet carrier is rotated by its own drive about a sun axis between the supply and the conveyor. A single planetary element on the carrier offset from the sun axis is rotatable about a planet axis parallel to and offset from the sun axis. A grab on the planetary element is engageable with the blank in the supply and in the conveyor seats. A planet drive wheel is fixed to the planetary element, a sun wheel is rotatable about the sun axis, and the wheels are coupled together for joint synchronous rotation. A separate planetary drive connected to the sun wheel rotates the planetary element independently of the carrier such that the grab moves while orbiting about the sun axis through a closed asymmetric path having only two outer points.

  • Patent number: 7043186
Abstract: A fixing station and a method for fixing toner images on a carrier material. The fixing station has an arrangement for moving a carrier material in a first direction and in a second direction opposite the first direction, a heat radiation source, which heats the carrier material to fix a toner thereon, and a covering device which is arranged between the carrier material and the heat radiation source and is movable parallel to the direction of the carrier material between an opened and closed position, so that while in the closed position, it blocks radiation from reaching the carrier device and in an opened position allows the radiation to heat the carrier material. The method includes delaying the opening and closing of the covering device so that a previously fixed area of the carrier material is not subjected to additional radiation from the heat radiation source.

  • Patent number: 7038805
Abstract: A method and apparatus for electronic archiving of a data stream that has both text and graphics includes separating form data that stays the same from document to document from variable data that varies from document to document. The form data is treated differently in the archiving process from the variable data. For example, only one copy of the form data need be stored, while the smaller data files of the variable data occupy less storage space. Index data is generated to facilitate overlay of the form data and variable data to permit recreation of the original documents. The data is converted into a printer-specific data format to facilitate separation into the different data types.

  • Patent number: 7039350
Abstract: The invention relates to a transfer printing station for an electrographic printer or copier wherein the transfer is carried out by means of a transfer roller (5) that simultaneously forces a web of paper (8) against a photoconductor drum (1) in such a manner that no defective spots (data loss) or bright spots in scanning patterns, indefinite scanning patterns and horizontal stripes in scanning patterns occur on the paper web (8). This is especially important for the subsequent printers of a system of printers that have to print onto a paper that is stressed by the fixing station of the preceding printer. The transfer roller (5) is disposed in a swiveled support unit (4) that comprises, in addition to the guide of the paper web (8), transfer jaws (11) along the photoconductor drum (1). The inventive transfer printing station is especially suitable for use in printing systems with a plurality of printers or copiers.
