Abstract: Aspects of a storage device including a plurality of dies and a controller are provided which allow for asymmetric die operation handling so that controller overheads associated with common resource intensive operations may be incurred in the background without delaying subsequent die operations. When the controller receives a command to perform an MLC operation such as programming a number of dies, the controller refrains from performing the MLC operation in one or more of the dies for a period of time while simultaneously performing the MLC operation in a remainder of the dies. Instead, the controller performs another operation, such as an SLC operation, another MLC operation, or a transfer operation, that involves a common resource in these dies during the period of time. Controller overheads associated with these other operations thus are incurred without creating bottlenecks when the number of dies is large, thereby improving storage device performance.

Abstract: A first database system may receive an access request from a connector module associated with a client application. The access request may include one or more access credentials for accessing a database associated with the first database system. The connector module may transmit one or more access parameters to the first database system. A connection string may be dynamically identified based on the access parameters. The connection string may be transmitted to the connector module, and may be used to establish a connection between the client application and the second database system. The connector module may also provide fallback capability for establishing a connection with a standby database server when a primary database server is unavailable such that open transactions are halted during the transitioning of the connection and resumed thereafter without having to abort the transactions.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for using robots to move items from one container to another. The method includes positioning a source container under a suction robot having two degrees of freedom only, the suction robot having a flexible suction end having a variable suction component that can cause suction to occur within the suction end upon contact with an item in the source container. The contact can be non-orthogonal of an end of the flexible suction and a surface of the item. The robot retrieves the item from the source container with the flexible suction end by lowering the flexible suction end into the source container to retrieve the item and lifts the retrieved item from the source container. The robot then moves the retrieved item horizontally from the source container to a destination container.

Abstract: An example method can include receiving, at a sensor, a signal associated with a motion of a target, processing the signal via a first filter having a first motion model and a second filter having a second motion model to yield a first tracking output and a second tracking output for the target, and weighting the first tracking output and second tracking output according to how well each of the first motion model and second motion model represents the motion of the target, to yield a first weight for the first tracking output and a second weight for the second tracking output. The method can include combining the first tracking output and second tracking output to yield a fused tracking output and sending, to a fusion system, the fused tracking output, the first weight associated with the first tracking output and the second weight associated with the second tracking output.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for digital navigation menus of swipeable cards with dynamic content. Example methods may include determining a first request from a mobile device for digital content to be presented at a plurality of cards in a digital navigation menu. The plurality of cards may include floating user interface elements that can be swiped in succession. Example methods may include determining a first card of the plurality of cards, and determining a second card of the plurality of cards, the second card having third content on a first side and fourth content on a second side. The third content may include an image-based representation of a first text-based link. Example methods may include sending first data associated with the first card and second data associated with the second card to the mobile device, and causing the first card to be presented at a display.
