Abstract: A test and measurement apparatus, system, and method for synchronizing an acquisition or triggering system to a specific burst of interest. The subject apparatus and method triggers on varying energy content of a signal qualified by time in the presence of high-frequency input signal bursts, by using an adjustable pulse width envelope detector, disposed in the signal path of the trigger circuitry, as a digital rectifier or to otherwise process and extract an envelope signal. An RF envelope probe having an analog envelope detector among other suitable components is disclosed. A method is implemented for isolating an interval of interest in a signal under test. An envelope detector circuit produces an envelope signal from the signal. Trigger circuitry receives the envelope signal from the envelope detector, and isolates the interval of interesting in the signal under test using the envelope signal.

In some embodiments, a method may include identifying a Security Association (SA) between a User Equipment (UE) and a Proxy Call Session Control Function (P-CSCF) of an Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) over a Gm interface during a registration procedure, correlating the SA with a ciphering key (CK) exchanged between the P-CSCF and a Serving CSCF (S-CSCF) of the IMS over an Mw interface during the registration procedure, and storing an indication of the correlated SA and CK in a deciphering record.
Abstract: An automated spectrum monitoring system may include a measurement device having a signal information display configured to visually present signal information pertaining to a signal, a real-time trigger detector configured to detect a trigger corresponding to the signal, and a mapping application configured to determine a geographic location of a source of the signal and visually present an indication of the geographic location.
Abstract: A network monitoring system probe is coupled to network interfaces and captures data packets. A monitoring system processor identifies messages specific to S1-MME interfaces and identifies GUMMEI parameters in the S1-MME interface messages. The monitoring system creates MME node entries in a network topology list, each of the MME nodes corresponding to a unique GUMMEI value. The monitoring system links individual S1-MME interfaces, SCTP associations, and MME IP addresses to a particular MME in the network topology list. Using authentication messages carried on the S6a and S1-MME interfaces, the monitoring system links individual S6a interfaces and S6a interface IP address to a particular MME in the network topology list and creates one or more HSS node entries in the network topology list. The monitoring system also creates eNodeB, S-GW, and PDN-GW nodes in the network topology list and links them to IP addresses and X2, S11, and S5/S8 interfaces.

Abstract: Disclosed is a processor for predicting perceptual differences between colors recalled from memory and directly viewed colors in a tested video. The processor includes a memory effects processor structured to generate compensation factors for distortions of color due to memory effects and apply the compensation factors to data from the reference video or data from the tested video. The compensation factors may include factors for changes in saturation over time, changes in hue angle, changes in uncertainty, and a categorization factor that reflects a trend in shifts and towards cardinal color centroids over time in memory.
Abstract: A test and measurement instrument including a splitter configured to split an input signal having a particular bandwidth into a plurality of split signals, each split signal including substantially the entire bandwidth of the input signal; a plurality of harmonic mixers, each harmonic mixer configured to mix an associated split signal of the plurality of split signals with an associated harmonic signal to generate an associated mixed signal; and a plurality of digitizers, each digitizer configured to digitize a mixed signal of an associated harmonic mixer of the plurality of harmonic mixers. A first-order harmonic of at least one harmonic signal associated with the harmonic mixers is different from an effective sample rate of at least one of the digitizers.
Abstract: Aspects of the invention include an equivalent-time sampling oscilloscope that receives a carrier signal, the carrier signal after it has been modulated with a repeating data pattern, and a pattern trigger signal that is synchronous with the data pattern. The carrier signal and the modulation are asynchronous, that is, they are not phase-locked in any way. The oscilloscope simultaneously samples the modulated carrier signal and quadrature phases of the unmodulated carrier signal at a plurality of timebase delays relative to the pattern trigger signal, and a plurality of times at each timebase delay. After collecting this information, the oscilloscope uses the quadrature samples to calculate phases of the unmodulated carrier signal that correspond to the samples of the modulated carrier signal.

Abstract: A device and method of re-sampling a plurality of S-parameters for serial data link analysis is disclosed. The method includes storing a plurality of S-parameters sets, each S-parameter set being associated with a subsystem and having associated impulse responses and a time interval. An increased time interval is determined based on the time interval associated with each S-parameter set. The impulse responses are zero filled in each S-parameter set to maintain any wrapped ripples and increase the time interval. A plurality of resampled S-parameter sets are generated with a finer frequency resolution to cover the increased time interval.
