Abstract: An accommodating intraocular lens (IOL) is formed from an anterior or posterior half molded as a chambered, polymer sack with a mouth opening smaller than its largest width that is mated to another half molded as a pliable bowl having a rim larger than the rest of the half. The resulting shell has a seam that is parallel to and does not cross or touch the equator such that the IOL is asymmetric between its front and back. A circular depression around the optical axis can be made in the anterior and/or posterior half such that a surrounding capsular bag seals against the rim of the depression, and an interior of the depression(s) does not touch the capsular bag.

Abstract: The provided are a federated reinforcement learning (FRL) end-to-end autonomous driving control system and method, as well as vehicular equipment, based on complex network cognition. An FRL algorithm framework is provided, designated as FLDPPO, for dense urban traffic. This framework combines rule-based complex network cognition with end-to-end FRL through the design of a loss function. FLDPPO employs a dynamic driving guidance system to assist agents in learning rules, thereby enabling them to navigate complex urban driving environments and dense traffic scenarios. Moreover, the provided framework utilizes a multi-agent FRL architecture, whereby models are trained through parameter aggregation to safeguard vehicle-side privacy, accelerate network convergence, reduce communication consumption, and achieve a balance between sampling efficiency and high robustness of the model.

Abstract: Imidazotetrazines were designed to evade resistance by O6-methylguanine DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) while retaining suitable hydrolytic stability, allowing for effective prodrug activation and biodistribution. One compound, called TABZ, exhibits activity against cancer cells irrespective of MGMT expression and MMR status. TABZ has comparable blood-brain barrier penetrance and comparable hematological toxicity relative to TMZ, while also matching its maximum tolerated dose (MTD) in mice when dosed once-per-day over five days. The activity of TABZ is independent of the two principal mechanisms suppressing the effectiveness of TMZ, making it a promising new candidate for the treatment of GBM, especially those that are TMZ resistant.
