    Abstract: An intervertebral fusion device includes a structural ceramic body.     Abstract: Systems and methods to assess metabolic dysregulation are described. Metabolic dysregulation refers to elevated glycemia or insulin resistance. The systems and methods assess metabolic dysregulation by determining which subphenotypes or underlying pathologies are contributing to the metabolic dysregulation. In some instances, a trained computational model utilizes an individual's glucose time series curve to determine the contribution of various metabolic dysregulation subphenotypes to the individual's metabolic dysregulation. Various applications or treatments can be performed based on the determination of metabolic dysregulation subphenotypes.

    Abstract: A separated prosthetic foot with a transverse arch belongs to the technical field of manufacturing of artificial limbs. The characteristics of the transverse arch of the human foot are combined into the previous transverse-straight carbon fiber foot design to improve the stiffness of the prosthetic foot and reduce the weight of the prosthetic foot. A forefoot part employs a separated curved plate design, and two simple curved plates with different curvatures are used for simulating a complex curved surface of the transverse arch of the human, such that the manufacturing cost is reduced, and the various parts of the sole are non-uniform in stiffness distribution: the outer side of the foot is a single-layer forefoot plate with a smaller curvature and minor stiffness; and the inner side of the foot is a double-layer stacked forefoot plate, and the lower layer plate has a large radius in curvature and stiffness.

    Abstract: The present disclosure belongs to the technical field of plant pest control, and particularly relates to a Camellia sinensis endophyte Penicillium ehrlichii and an application thereof. The present disclosure relates to a novel endophyte separated from a Camellia sinensis body and identified as Penicillium ehrlichii by means of morphology and molecular biology. Biological activity evaluation indicates that Penicillium ehrlichii shows good antagonistic antifungal activity to common pathogenic fungi on several plants. It means that the strain used as a biocontrol fungus for phytopathogens can be applied to environmental-friendly and safe prevention and control of plant diseases.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for solid-state 2D optical phased arrays (OPAs), which are fabricated from In-rich In1-xGaxN/GaN multiple quantum wells (MQWs). In-rich InxGa1-xN alloys possess the unique properties of exceptionally high free-carrier-induced refractive index (n) change and low optical loss. InGaN/GaN MQW pixels play the role of using a very small fraction of a laser beam to modulate the phase of the laser beam. The phase of each MQW pixel in the OPA is controlled independently via electro-optic effect through the integration between OPA pixels with a Laterally Diffused MOSFET (LDMOS) integrated circuit driver to achieve the manipulation of the distribution of optical power in the far field. The present invention is applicable to a wide range of applications, including the operation of LIDAR systems, laser weapons, laser illuminators, and laser imaging systems.
