Abstract: A double swirl burner including an annular air nozzle, an annular fuel nozzle coaxially disposed within the annular air nozzle, and a central air nozzle coaxially disposed within the annular fuel nozzle. Abstract: A multifunctional dendrimer nanoparticle and method of treating diseases of the posterior segment of the eye is presented. The functionalized polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimer effectively delivers drugs and/or genes to the posterior eye, thereby providing for the effective, non-invasive, and topical treatment of diseased in the posterior eye. The multifunctional dendrimer nanoparticle has shRNA-encoding DNA and small molecule drug encapsulated cyclodextrin complexed to the outer surface of the dendrimer for delivery to the posterior segment of the eye.

Abstract: A system and method for depositing a coating may comprise a coating chemical reactor, surface activation component, and a deposition component. A target surface may be prepared for deposition with the surface activation component. Abstract: Skeletonized blood vessels for use as vascular grafts are protected from biomechanical injury and/or certain cellular and extracellular changes by application of a biocompatible hydrogel to the vessel exterior. Abstract: According to some embodiments of the invention, a tensegrity robot includes a plurality of compressive members, and a plurality of tensile members connected to the compressive members to form a spatially defined structure without the compressive members forming direct load-transmitting connections with each other. The tensegrity robot also includes a plurality of actuators, each attached to one of the compressive members within a corresponding central axial region thereof. Abstract: The present invention provides a method for extracting heat-sensitive Antarctic krill oil comprising the following steps. Firstly, frozen Antarctic krill is thawed and minced; a surfactant is added to the minced Antarctic krill to form a supercritical micelle system; extract the Antarctic krill multiple times after pressurizing and liquefying mixed gases; at the same time, a low-carbon alcohol solvent is added to strip the material in the critical micelle; after the extraction is completed, the extractant is removed; the extraction product and the residue after the extraction are subsequently collected; the heat-sensitive Antarctic krill oil can be obtained by high-speed centrifugal separation of the oil-water mixed extraction product. The present method has the advantages of simple operation, low extraction pressure and high safety. The extraction method of gas pressure liquefaction is completed under low temperature sealing conditions.
