Abstract: The present invention discloses an automatic loading system and method for service functions of a hydraulic machine. The loading system includes an acquiring portion for acquiring i service function component chains of a hydraulic machine, a determining portion for determining a demand sequence of the service function component chains used by a user within each preset time period in a measuring cycle based on the acquired service function component chains and a deciding portion for automatically loading a service function of the hydraulic machine in a next moment according to the demand sequence based on a current input operation command of the user. By adopting the automatic loading system or method provided by the present invention, response speed of intelligent services of the hydraulic machine can be improved.

Abstract: The invention provides compositions including epinephrine nanoparticles and methods for therapeutic use of the compositions in the treatment of conditions responsive to epinephrine such as a cardiac event or an allergic reaction, particularly anaphylaxis. The epinephrine nanoparticles can be incorporated into orally-disintegrating and fast-disintegrating tablet pharmaceutical formulations and can significantly increase the sublingual bioavailability of epinephrine, and thereby reduce the epinephrine dose required. Additionally, the invention provides methods for fabrication of stabilized epinephrine nanoparticles for use in the described compositions.

Abstract: The present invention relates to isolated immunogenic polypeptides and their use. In one aspect, the isolated immunogenic polypeptide includes a scaffold polypeptide having a hairpin loop modified to include one or more epitopes heterologous to the scaffold polypeptide and from an amino acid loop linked by a disulfide bond. The scaffold polypeptide directs self-assembly with two other of the scaffold polypeptides to form a trimeric structure, which constrains the one or more epitopes to a conformation that is (i) substantially similar to one or more native pathogen epitopes in trimeric conformation and (ii) capable of binding an antibody reactive to the one or more native pathogen epitopes in trimeric conformation. Another aspect relates to an isolated immunogenic polypeptide that includes a scaffold polypeptide having a native loop modified to include one or more epitopes heterologous to the scaffold polypeptide and from an amino acid loop linked by a disulfide bond.

Abstract: A technique for separating components of a microfluid, comprises a self-intersecting micro or nano-fluidic channel defining a cyclic path for circulating the fluid over a receiving surface of a fluid component separating member; and equipment for applying coordinated pressure to the channel at a plurality of pressure control areas along the cyclic path to circulate the fluid over the receiving surface, applying a pressure to encourage a desired transmission through the separating member, and a circulating pressure to remove surface obstructions on the separating member. The equipment preferably defines a peristaltic pump. Turbulent microfluidic flow appears to be produced.

Abstract: Novel and advantageous insulator discs with embedded resonator coils are provided. By linking the insulator discs in a series using an appropriate mechanical mechanism, the insulator discs form an insulator or insulator string for a high power transmission line system. The resonator coils embedded inside the insulator discs therefore form a series of relay resonators that can be used for wireless power transfer through the principle of near-field magnetic coupling and resonance. The insulator string can provide the simultaneous functions of voltage insulation and wireless power transfer over the length of the string. Applications include, but not limited to, wireless power transfer in a high-voltage environment such as that encountered in high-voltage power transmission line systems.
Abstract: A wearable apparatus comprises a passive artificial knee that comprises first and second links coupled at a knee joint, a passive compressive force generator coupled to the second link, and a release mechanism coupled to the first link. When an angle of the first and second links is less than a toggle angle, the release mechanism locks in a first operational mode, and the force generator compresses, resisting flexing of the second link. When the angle is larger than the toggle angle, the force generator decompresses and encourages flexion of said second link. When the force generator is extended and said compressive force is small, the release mechanism moves into a second operational mode, wherein the force generator neither resists nor encourages extension and flexion of said second link from said first link. The wearable apparatus comprises an exoskeleton trunk configured to couple to an upper body of a user.
