Abstract: A system for measuring microfluctuation of accommodation comprises a measuring module and a processing module. The measuring module includes at least one first sensing element attached to the area around an eye of a testee for measuring an EMG signal. The processing module is coupled with the measuring module for picking up a specific frequency range of the EMG signal as a measurement index of microfluctuation of accommodation, wherein the specific frequency range is between 0.1 Hz and 100 Hz. The system allows the testee to be tested in an open field of view and exempts the testee from experiencing fatigue in the muscle around the eyes. The system is compact and convenient to carry. A method for measuring microfluctuation of accommodation is also disclosed.
Abstract: A system for providing auto-focus augmented reality (AR) viewing of real and virtual objects includes a frame for holding AR viewing components on a user's head and optically in front of the user's eyes. The AR viewing components include an internal virtual objects display for displaying virtual objects to a user. Internal and external focus correction modules respectively adjust focal distances of virtual and real objects, are respectively configurable to adjust the focal distances of the virtual and real objects differently based on the different user vision types, and operate to respectively adjust the focal distances of the virtual and real objects such that the virtual and real objects are simultaneously in focus based on the vision type of the user.

Abstract: A method for open-air pulsed laser deposition by providing a target and a substrate, configuring a laser directed to the target, reducing the pressure in the zone between the target and substrate by providing a suction having an opening proximal to the target. Optionally, shielding the zone between the target and substrate from ambient oxygen by flowing an inert gas from outside the zone. The method may accommodate very large substrates and multiple targets and multiple laser beams. The target may be tilted or remotely tilted. Matrix assisted pulsed laser deposition may be utilized.
Abstract: Memristor-based multipliers using memristors-as-drivers (MAD) gates. As a result of employing MAD gates in memristor-based multipliers, such as shift-and-add multipliers, Booth multipliers and array multipliers, the number of delay steps may be less than half than the number of delay steps required in traditional CMOS implementations of multipliers. Furthermore, by using MAD gates, memristor-based multipliers can be implemented with less complexity (e.g., fewer memristors and drivers). As a result, by the memristor-based multipliers using MAD gates, the speed and complexity of a wide variety of arithmetic operations is improved.
