Abstract: In one aspect, the present disclosure may provide devices or systems configured to receive indications of geographic areas, each corresponding to distribution networks, and determine whether the distribution networks overlap. The processor(s) may also be configured to receive parameter value(s) obtained by a device within one distribution network at a location within an overlapping area, and cause device(s) within another distribution network to modify operation based on the parameter value(s). In another aspect, the present disclosure may provide devices that include a voltage sensor to measure a voltage of a power distribution network at a power consumption location that corresponds to the device. The device may be configured to provide at least one cable service to the power consumption location via a cable television (CATV) distribution network and output an indication the measured voltage value.

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of determining if a subject has an increased risk of suffering from memory impairment. The methods comprise analyzing at least one plasma sample from the subject to determine a value of the subject's metabolite profile and comparing the value of the subject's metabolite profile with the value of a normal metabolite profile. A change in the value of the subject's metabolite profile, over normal values is indicative that the subject has an increased risk of suffering from memory impairment compared to a normal individual.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a time-based signal acquisition apparatus and method using sawtooth-shaped threshold voltage. The signal acquisition apparatus for acquiring the information of a scintillation signal includes a sawtooth-shaped voltage generation unit and a signal comparison unit. The sawtooth-shaped voltage generation unit generates a sawtooth-shaped threshold voltage which increases when the threshold voltage is smaller than a voltage value of the scintillation signal and which decreases to an initial value when the threshold voltage is larger than the voltage value of the scintillation signal. The signal comparison unit receives the scintillation signal, compares the voltage value of the scintillation signal with the threshold voltage, and generates a digital pulse train.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a suction device including a shell with a chamber, the chamber including an opening. A fan is disposed in the chamber, and a power component for driving the fan to rotate is disposed on the shell. An external fluid source holding an additional fluid is connected to the chamber. The additional fluid of the external fluid source flows into the chamber to occupy a volume in the chamber and at least partially forces a first fluid originally present in the chamber out of the chamber. The fan drives fluids in the chamber to rotate so that a stepped negative pressure is generated in the chamber, with a magnitude of the negative pressure decreasing as a distance to a periphery of the chamber decreases. Thereby, a pressure difference between an inside and an outside of the shell is decreased, decreasing vacuum leakage of the suction device.
Abstract: A system and method for rip-up and re-routing a global routing solution includes determining, via processing circuitry, one or more rip-up and re-route (R&R) strategies for a net; decomposing, via the processing circuitry, multiple pins of the net into a plurality of subnets; decomposing a spanning tree of the net into paths for the plurality of subnets; determining, via the processing circuitry, a probability of success of each of the R&R strategies for one of minimizing a total overflow of a global routing solution or minimizing a wire length of the global routing solution; and applying one of the R&R strategies to the net based on the determined probability of success of said each of the R&R strategies towards improving the global routing solution, wherein the global routing solution includes a plurality of spanning trees for a respective plurality of nets of a global routing system.
