  • Patent number: 12189732
Abstract: A sound-based method and system of performing an authentication of a person in order to permit access to a secured resource is disclosed. The system and method are configured to transmit an audio signal to a remotely located smart device. When the smart device produces the audio signal, a nearby computing device captures the audio signal and provides the captured audio data to an authentication platform. The audio data is compared to the transmitted audio signal. The system can determine whether there is a match between the captured audio data and the transmitted audio data. If there is a match, the system verifies an identity of the person and can further be configured to automatically grant the person access to one or more services, features, or information for which he or she is authorized.

  • Patent number: 12190666
Abstract: A user identification system includes one or more processors configured to receive a first indication of a vehicle identity of a vehicle at an entrance of a location and retrieve a user profile associated with the vehicle identity from a user profile database. The user profile includes one or more user identities of one or more users authorized to enter the location. The one or more processors are configured to receive a second indication of a current user identity of a current user positioned in the vehicle, determine that the current user identity corresponds to a particular user identity of the one or more user identities, and output a control signal indicative of instructions to enable access to the location in response to the current user identity corresponding to the particular user identity.

  • Patent number: 12190187
Abstract: Magnetic stripe cards including a skimmer detection mechanism detect unauthorized access to data and information stored on a magnetic strip of a magnetic stripe card by illicit card skimming devices. In one embodiment, a method of detecting an unauthorized scan of confidential data encoded on a magnetic strip portion of a magnetic stripe card having a skimmer detection mechanism includes detecting a scan of the magnetic strip portion, measuring a parameter associated with the scan of the magnetic strip portion by the skimmer detection mechanism, and comparing the measured parameter to a baseline value associated with the parameter. Upon determining that the parameter exceeds the baseline value, an unauthorized scan of confidential data encoded on the magnetic strip portion of the magnetic stripe card is detected.

  • Patent number: 12184814
Abstract: Techniques are described for generating metric(s) that predict survey score(s) for a service session. Model(s) may be trained, through supervised or unsupervised machine learning, using training data such as communications from previous service sessions between service representative(s) and individual(s), and survey scores provided by the serviced individual to rate the session on one or more criteria (e.g., survey questions). The model(s) may be trained to output, based on an input session record, metric(s) that each correspond to a survey score that would have been provided by the individual had they completed the survey. The model may be a concatenated model that combines a language model output from a language classifier recurrent neural network, and an acoustic model output from an acoustic feature layer convolutional neural network. Individuals can be clustered according to the metric(s) and/or other factors, and the cluster(s) can be employed for routing incoming service requests.

  • Patent number: 12182304
Abstract: Systems and methods for privatized presentation of private data are provided. In certain embodiments, private data contained within received electronic data is identified. Based at least in part upon the identified private data, a determination is made as to whether privatized presentation of the private data should be performed. When the privatized presentation should be performed, a primary electronic device response including non-private data of the electronic data and an indication of a location of the private data in the electronic data is generated. The primary electronic device response is provided to a primary electronic device. The indication of the location of the private data is used to instruct the primary electronic device to refrain from presenting the private data. Instead, the private data is presented to a secondary electronic device tasked with presenting the private data in lieu of the primary electronic device.

  • Patent number: 12182223
Abstract: Disclosed systems and methods allow a user to input digital content along with identification of one or more social media websites on which the user desires to publish the digital content. The systems and methods then query the identified social media webservers and retrieve a first set of publishing rules. When the digital content satisfies the first set of rules, the systems and methods query a database to retrieve a second set of rules comprising user restrictions specific to the identified social media websites. When the digital content does not satisfy at least one rule within the second set of rules, the systems and methods render a prompt on the user device to receive modified digital content. Subsequently, the systems and methods instruct the one or more social media websites to publish the modified digital content.

  • Patent number: 12185038
Abstract: A system and method for call routing based on measuring and applying a digital intensity metric to interact with a user of a provider system is disclosed. Specifically, the embodiments provide systems and methods that allow users to place a voice call to the system. The system receives the voice call from a calling user. The system obtains transaction information and processes the transaction information to summarize the transaction information for the user. The system uses the processed information to calculate a digital intensity metric, and the user is classified as a rare user based on the digital intensity metric. The user is then routed to a special member service representative, user information is provided to the member service representative, consent documents are provided to the user, and executed consent documents are received from the user.

  • Patent number: 12184780
Abstract: The present embodiments relate to establishing secure data communication using an Elliptic-curve Diffie-Hellman ephemeral (ECDHE) key agreement procedure. Devices in a network environment can utilize a key agreement procedure to establish secure communication between multiple application layers in a micro service architecture. Particularly, a tunnel can be established between a mobile device and an encryption service by transmitting key information between the mobile device and the encryption service. This can allow for encryption keys to only be accurately generated by the mobile device and encryption service. Accordingly, intermediary nodes may be unable to decrypt the data, allowing for safe and secure transport of sensitive data.

  • Patent number: 12184630
Abstract: A method and system of managing third-party access to insurance information is disclosed. An insurer maintains an insurance information repository that can be accessed only by authenticated third-party partners. The authentication system generates a code for the insured member. The insured member can share the code to their selected third-party service provider. The selected provider will submit the code to the authentication system when requesting access to validated information about the insured member. The code, if valid, will authenticate the service provider and enable access to the requested information.

  • Patent number: 12184664
Abstract: Techniques are described for managing a network through use of a security device that includes, or has access to, a blockchain node. The security device may manage a network of Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices in a home or other environment. The security device may act as an intermediary to manage secure, trusted communications between the IoT device(s) and external service(s). The security device may also provide network security features such as a network firewall. In some implementations, the security device may run a blockchain node, and the blockchain could be used to establish a verifiable home identity. The security device may interact with external resources and/or services, such as utility services, e-commerce services, and so forth, through this secure mechanism.
