Abstract: Radiation-curable (such as UV-curable) ink is used to form an image on a moving substrate. A radiation-transmissive web is attached to the substrate, and then radiation is applied to the web and substrate to cure the ink. The resulting combined substrate and web forms a laminated print.
Abstract: An information processing apparatus is connected to a projection device and an image capture device, and includes an acquiring portion, a detecting portion, and a controller. The acquiring portion acquires images captured by the image capture device. The detecting portion detects positions of the object and a user of the information processing apparatus from the captured images. The controller causes the projection device to project a first indication data indicating storage of at least one of the captured images onto an area except for a linear area linking the user of the information processing apparatus to the object and existing between the user of the information processing apparatus and the object, based on the detected positions of the object and the user of the information processing apparatus, and stores the at least one of the captured images in a memory when the projected first indication data has been interrupted.
Abstract: A decoding apparatus includes a classification section, a distribution-information generation section and an inverse-quantization-value generation section. The classification section classifies quantization indices contained in input code data into a plurality of groups. The distribution-information generation section generates distribution information of the quantization indices for each group, based on the quantization indices classified by the classification section. The inverse-quantization-value generation section generates inverse quantization values, which correspond to the respective quantization indices, based on the distribution information generated by the distribution-information generation section.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a method and a printing apparatus implementing the method to minimize cross-process direction non-uniformities of color images in printed documents. When printing images on a photoreceptor, halftone test patches are generated for each color. A first halftone cell orientation (of dots) of the test patches and their corresponding color image data is determined. The halftone cells of test patches may be provided or rotated to a second orientation (or angle or degrees) for printing in an inter-document zone of the photoreceptor, while the first orientation of the color image data in the document image area of the photoreceptor remains the same. Errors or non-uniformities (e.g., with TRC correction) caused by sensor misreading of test patches at specific orientations in the cross-process direction are substantially eliminated, thereby providing output images without streaks or visible errors.

Abstract: An information managing apparatus includes an acquiring unit, a condition setting unit, a condition judging unit and a correlating unit. The acquiring unit acquires information from storage unit which stores information therein. The condition setting unit sets a condition on at least one layer of a file system. Information to be correlated with the at least one layer satisfies the condition as the information locates under the at least one layer. The condition is referred along with an attribute value of one or a plurality of lower layers provided under the at least one layer. The correlating unit correlates the acquired information with a lower layer if the condition judging unit judges that the acquired information satisfies the set condition when the attribute value of the lower layer is referred to. The lower layer corresponds to the condition judged to be satisfied by the condition judging unit.
