Abstract: In the image forming apparatus, a thermostat is arranged in a housing of the fixing device, and the terminals on both ends are arranged slanted with respect to the longitudinal direction. A non-contact type temperature sensor is arranged adjacent to the thermostat. The discharge rollers are arranged at equidistance from the center reference line according to the smallest width of the paper on the downstream side in the conveying direction of the paper of the housing. A center part of the thermostat and the opening for temperature detection of the temperature sensor are positioned between the discharge rollers.

Abstract: Embodiments according to the present disclosure provide methods and systems of determining nip velocity profiles in a medium registration system, including parameterizing a set of equations into a set of standard parameters, the set of equations representing an analytic form of the nip velocity profiles; determining values of the parameters through an iteration process; and determining the nip velocity profiles based on the determined values of the parameters. The embodiments separately provide systems and methods of simulating a medium registration process, including inputting an error parameter to a velocity nominal profile of a nip in a medium registration system; determining an output value of the velocity nominal profile; and using the output value in a regression algorithm to obtain a simulated relationship, the simulated relationship indicative of a manner in which the error parameter influences the output value.

Abstract: Post treatment of an ultrasonically welded seamed flexible imaging member belt includes providing a flexible belt having an outer surface, an inner surface, parallel edges and a welded seam extending from one parallel edge to the other parallel edge, the belt seam including a seam region comprising an overlap of two oppositely miter cut edges, and two adjacent splashing formed around the seam; contacting the seam with abrasive and a super finishing tool; and super finishing the seam to remove at least the splashing on the outer surface of the belt.
Abstract: In an image display apparatus and image display method suppress the degradation of display function and the shortening of service life due to long-term use, measurement of a current value is carried out and the measured current value each time a certain time elapses is stored. The integrated value of the current is calculated, and a comparator compares the integrated value with a reference value stored in a storage section for determining whether or not the result is greater than a prescribed value. If the result is affirmed to differ by prescribed value, a recovery voltage is applied, and it is determined whether or not a recovery time has exceeded a stored recovery time. If the exceedance of the recovery time is affirmed, the application of the recovery voltage is terminated. If a negation is given at the determination of the greater difference value, the flow is ended. If a negation is given at the determination of the recovery time, the recovery voltage is applied.
Abstract: Aspects of the invention can include an internal heating system for an image transfer drum that can include a box having a plurality of sides, an open side facing the drum and a heater element. The box can have small gaps between it and the internal drum surface to maximize thermal efficiency of the internal heating system. The heater element can include first and second support structures that are disposed on a central support structure, the first support structure having an end connector at one side away from the second support structure. Further, a first coil can be formed around the first support structure, and a second coil can be formed around the second support structure and one end of the second coil can be coupled by an electrical line that extends within the central support structure through the second support structure towards the end connector.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and programs for adjusting marking data for use with alternately stacked multi-thickness media. The systems, methods, and programs input marking data and determine an orientation of sheets of the multi-thickness media that is alternated within a stack. The systems, methods, and programs adjust, for each sheet whose orientation is not consistent with the marking data, the marking data for that sheet such that the marking data for that sheet is consistent with the orientation of that sheet.
