Abstract: A system for interfacing predetermined services to a user at a fixed location includes a processing platform running an operating system. Also included are a plurality of physical system resource interfaces for interfacing with available physical system resources. The physical system resources allow a user to gain access to the predetermined desired services. The system further includes a data store for storing configuration information for enabling the operating system to interface with the available physical system resources through the physical system resource interface associated therewith.

Abstract: Point-of-sale systems may include stations having interactive monitors mounted at specific heights and angles that permit such monitors to be viewed and interacted with by an associate or a customer. Some point-of-sale systems may include two stations, each having a monitor aligned in opposite directions, a user of one monitor may not view the other monitor, and vice versa. The point-of-sale systems may also include instrument readers (e.g., credit card readers or NFC readers) for recognizing payment instruments of customers and identifying the customers based on the payment instruments. Each of the monitors and instrument readers may be linked by cables to computer devices that are securely housed in a chamber above which the monitors are mounted. The monitors and other components are installed in a modular fashion, and may be independently installed or replaced without requiring an installation or replacement of the entire point-of-sale system.

Abstract: Computer-implemented systems and methods for intelligent distribution of products are disclosed. The systems and methods may be configured to: receive a request to assign a product to a location; retrieve a plurality of attributes associated with the product from a system configured to store attributes of products; retrieve a plurality of rules from a rules system configured to store rules implemented for assigning a product to a location, the retrieved plurality of rules configured by a user using a user interface; determining the location to store the product by applying the retrieved plurality of attributes to the retrieved plurality of rules; and assigning the product to the determined location.

Abstract: A volunteer reporting system is provided. The system includes a computer server having a memory storing organization data and user data and a user computing device coupled to the computer server. The computer server may be programmed to automatically determine an accumulated amount of time the user computing device has been within the proximity zone during a designated period of time less the time the user computing device is outside of the proximity zone until within the proximity zone and sensed and the server receives another signal during the designated period of time. Additionally, the system may generate a report of the location, time and accumulated amount of time the user computing device was within the proximity zone in response to receiving a request for the report.

Abstract: Features are disclosed for an interface for verifiable tracking of an item through a supply chain using a distributed electronic ledger. For example, when an item is added to a catalog system, the item information may be included in the creation element at the start of the ledger for the item. A certification authority may be included to verify that items received correspond to the item included in the catalog based on one or more certification rules. If a certification rule is satisfied, a record may be added to indicate transfer of the item from a provider to the catalog system. The certification information may be dynamically presented with item description information such as in response to searches of the catalog system.

Abstract: A method is provided of processing a food order in a table service restaurant. The method comprises receiving a food order including a table identifier, and electronically by a computer terminal, printing a food order label including the table identifier and providing the printed food order label. The method also comprises by a food preparer, preparing a food dish based upon the printed food order label, and by the food preparer, placing the prepared food dish in a position in vicinity of the printed food order label. The method further comprises by the food preparer or a food server, picking up the prepared food dish and attaching the printed food order label to the food dish with the table identifier being visible, and by a food server, delivering the prepared food dish to the table indicated by the visible table identifier on the printed food order label and thereby delivering the prepared food dish to a customer in the table service restaurant.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and machine readable media are provided for image-based replenishment. In exemplary embodiments, a system periodically obtains an image from one or more imaging devices in a facility of a selected rack of items among a group of racks. The system determines, based on the image, a first volume indicative of a volume of items on the rack. The system retrieves a sales forecast for the items on the selected rack and determines an expected second volume of items on the rack based on the sales forecast for the item. The system then determines whether the first volume is within a predetermined threshold of the second volume, and transmits instructions based on whether or not the first volume is determined to be within the predetermined threshold of the second volume.

Abstract: Various embodiments are related to apparatuses and methods related to payroll processing. An employee can designate a customized payroll pay period, and each employee can designate a different payroll pay period. For example, the employee can designate to receive payroll payments on any frequency supported by the employer, including receiving a daily payroll payment on each day that the employee works. The employee's employer can make payroll payments according to the employee's designation. Further, when the employer is a merchant that makes sales each day using, for example, a point of sale system, the employer can electronically pay the employee using funds from the day's sales. For example, the employee can work on a selected day, and can receive an electronic payroll payment at the end of the shift. The employee can immediately use the just received electronic payment funds to purchase a good from a second merchant.

Abstract: A method and system are provided to support a decentralized distributed ledger in which transactions are recorded by parties to the transactions without the use of a blockchain. A distributed ledger system provides a protocol framework that supports the development of protocol flows. A protocol flow is computer code that controls the performance of a transaction by the party or parties to the transaction. Protocol flows can be developed for different types of transactions. The distributed ledger system allows transactions to be proposed, accepted, and notarized by a notary and stored without the use of a blockchain ledger. The distributed ledger system can avoid the expense of the computational and storage resources needed to redundantly verify a transaction and store evidence on the many nodes of a blockchain distributed ledger.

The processor computes a state of each asset, based on the updates, receives a request for a state of one of the assets; and responds to the request, reflecting each event and change affecting that asset. The response is performed without waiting for the peer processors to verify an update that has not yet been recorded in the ledger.

Abstract: A storage controller provides a visual indication of a physical location of an item arranged at a temporary storage location in a logistics center. The storage controller receives the item and associates the item with the particular temporary storage location. When a controller determines that the item is needed for an upcoming shipment, a signal is transmitted to the storage controller to active an indicator. Operations personnel may quickly identify the indicator to retrieve the item. Once the item is retrieved, it may be scanned to deactivate the indicator.
