Abstract: Systems and methods for enabling payment of invoices are provided. A method of creating an electronic payment transaction includes receiving location information of a user device; obtaining billing information of a user associated with the user device from a retailer according to the location information; sending a request to the user to confirm a payment amount; and in response to receiving confirmation from the user of a confirmed payment amount, creating an electronic payment transaction to deduct the confirmed payment amount from an account associated with the user and to provide a payment to an account associated with the retailer for the confirmed amount.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure enable a computing system to enhance one or more financial transactions. The computing system identifies a cardholder account used to enter into a financial transaction, identifies a merchant and/or a primary product associated with the financial transaction, analyzes cardholder data associated with the cardholder account and account data associated with the merchant and/or the primary product to determine a secondary product, generate presentation data for presenting product information associated with the secondary product, and receive selection data associated with the secondary product such that the financial transaction is enhanced with the secondary product. Aspects of the disclosure provide for enhancing the financial transaction with a secondary product tailored to the cardholder, provided or promoted by the merchant, and/or useable with the primary product in a constructive, complementary, and/or effective manner.

Abstract: The systems and methods described herein provide for facilitating in-person payments at a transaction kiosk. First, the system provides an authentication interface for display at a network-enabled transaction kiosk. A user is authenticated at the kiosk via the authentication interface, and based on that authentication, the system detects a payment application and a payment request corresponding to the user, wherein the payment application is associated with a service provider and the payment request was created with the payment application. Next, the system identifies a user interface scheme associated with the payment application, and then updates the user interface for display at the transaction kiosk to match the user interface scheme, then initiates a blockchain payment based on the payment request.

Abstract: A rack assembly for use with an automatic retail device. The rack assembly includes a rack body comprising and a load bar configured to mount to the rack body. The rack body includes a fastening element configured to mount the rack body to a portion of the automatic retail device and a main shelf controller disposed within the rack body and in communication with a microcontroller of the automatic retail device. The load bar includes a weight sensor configured to sense a weight of products positioned on the load bar and a circuit board. The circuit board is disposed on the load bar and in electrical communication with the weight sensor and the main shelf controller. The circuit board transmits a signal corresponding to the weight sensed by the weight sensor to the microcontroller via the main shelf controller.

Abstract: An insertable consumer interaction module includes: a terminal interface able to interact with a sales terminal; and a communication module comprising at least one antenna able to interact with a user device. A payment processing system includes: a point of sale (POS) terminal; a consumer interaction module communicatively coupled to the POS terminal; and a server communicatively coupled to the consumer interaction module. An automated method of processing payment requests, the method includes: receiving, at a consumer interaction module, a payment request from a point of sale (POS) terminal; sending the payment request to an authorization server; receiving a response from the authorization server; and sending the response to the POS terminal. The consumer interaction module may be able to interact with various mobile device applications. The module may facilitate payment processing, administration of loyalty programs, advertising, and micro positioning.

Abstract: On receiving simplified settlement data generated form settlement data and ID data for downloading electronic-receipt data from an electronic-receipt server, both from a settlement-processing apparatus, a portable terminal records the simplified settlement data in association with the ID data. The display unit of the portable terminal displays the simplified settlement data thus recorded. The portable terminal downloads electronic-receipt data from the electronic-receipt server by using the ID data recorded in association with the simplified settlement data, when the input unit is operated, thereby commanding that the electronic receipt related to the simplified settlement data displayed by the display unit should be downloaded. The electronic-receipt data is recorded in the electronic-receipt recording unit. The display unit displays the electronic receipt on the basis the electronic-receipt data recorded in the electronic-receipt recording unit.

Abstract: A system for returning change electronically to a consumer as a result of a cash transaction is provided. The system uses a merchant terminal by bypassing default funds availability authorization performed in consumer to merchant transfers by the terminal. The terminal therefore enables transfer funds from merchant to consumer in an amount which is associated with change due to the consumer upon receipt of the appropriate request and consumer account identifier. In particular aspects, the change is returned in a cryptocurrency.

Abstract: An event monitoring processor includes a processor and at least one memory. The memory stores a database of cohort definitions. Each cohort definition defines a respective cohort. The processor is configured to receive particulars of a member event initiated by a member of one of the cohorts, generate an additional cohort definition from the particulars of the member event, and save the additional cohort definition in the cohort definitions database. The processor is also configured to receive member data associated with the cohort member, select one of the cohorts in the cohort definitions database from a correlation between the member data and the cohort definitions, and save in a cohort member database a member record that identifies a correlation between the member event and an event defined in the selected one cohort.

Abstract: The present application describes a system of managing electronic receipts including a point-of-sale system, a unique identifier detection mechanism, and a server. The point-of-sale system is configured to register a plurality of goods and/or services, comprising a transaction receipt. The unique identifier detection mechanism detects a first unique identifier and a second unique identifier. The server is in communication with the point-of-sale system and includes a processor configured to register the payment of the transaction receipt as a function of the first unique identifier and a memory device is configured to store a database with a plurality of receipt-data storage locations. In response to the approval the payment, the point-of-sale system forwards the second unique identifier and the transaction receipt to the server and stores the transaction receipt within the receipt-data storage location associated with the second unique identifier.

Abstract: One embodiment of a system and method for providing a communications network may include disposing a corresponding set of networked beacons associated with multiple machines positioned configured to provide consumer products to consumers. The beacons may communicate wireless signals with unique data respectively indicative of the networked beacons to a mobile device of a user locally positioned from any of the machines. The unique data may be associated with a local beacon, and cause an app being executed by the mobile device to communicate the unique data and receive content associated with the local beacon in response to the communication of the unique data.

Abstract: A user is provided with a GUI that may allow the user to change functionality associated with a non-powered card, a powered card or other device (e.g., a mobile telephonic device). The functionality associated with the device may be displayed by the GUI as a list of third-party applications that may be executed when the user's card or other device is used to complete a purchase transaction. The GUI allows the user to purchase/redeem goods and/or services from a third-party vendor after the purchase transaction is completed or may allow the goods and/or services to be purchased/redeemed without first requiring a purchase transaction. A fulfillment system hosted by a remote facility administers the goods/services delivery by tracking user information, mailing information, and delivery status tracking information.

The inventory management device includes a resistive sensor in physical communication with a sheet in the roll that measures a resistance value between the resistive sensor and the sheet. The inventory management device includes a vibration sensor in electronic communication with the resistive sensor to generate a vibration signal that corresponds to a vibration of the roll. The inventory management device includes a storage unit in electronic communication with the resistive sensor to store the resistance value. The inventory management also includes a controller in electronic communication with the resistive sensor and storage unit to measure a change in the resistance value.

Abstract: A method and device for indicating whether a dispensable product will require refilling prior to the next scheduled service interval includes tracking the amount of use over a first interval, and calculating a frequency based from the use over the first interval. The quantity remaining is compared with the required amount, which is the product of the number of weeks in the service interval and the calculated frequency. Thus, when the quantity remaining is less that the required amount, a warning will be provided to indicate that the dispensing product should be replaced, as it will be empty before the next service interval.

A mobile device is used to initiate a point of sale transaction, wherein a merchant ID is sent to a payment processing server. Responsive to receiving a communication from the mobile device, the payment processing server requests transaction information from the merchant, wherein the merchant is identified based on the provided merchant ID. The merchant can provide transaction information such as the total sale amount to the payment processing server. The payment processing server can authenticate the customer and initiate a purchase transaction with the appropriate financial institutions associated with the customer and the merchant. The payment processing server can send a confirmation of the executed transaction to the merchant and the mobile device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for generating electronic receipts (e-receipts) at point-of-sale (POS) terminals associated with a merchant at a retail location. The systems and methods include a near field communication (NFC) reader and an NFC-enabled payment vehicle. A POS terminal processes a payment transaction after an initial interaction between the NFC reader and the NFC-enabled payment vehicle. An e-receipt is generated when a second interaction is detected between the NFC reader and the NFC-enabled payment vehicle.
