Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a novel system for using a distributed register to conduct, manage, and store resource tracking data. In particular, computing systems may be used to perform assessments on and track various diagnostic parameters for a fleet of resources within an enterprise environment and store the data records within the distributed register. Data may be received in a periodic manner, event-based manner, or a continuous manner from on-board diagnostic components of the resources. The system may further comprise one or more distributed register interjectors which may trigger the addition of updated data records for one or more resources in the distributed register. In this way, the system provides for a highly efficient way to track and analyze resource data and forecast value and condition of resources belonging to the entity.

Abstract: A location based mobile device system and application for providing artifact tours is described. The mobile device application of illustrative embodiments provides multimedia information regarding an array of artifacts pertinent to the location of the mobile device. The artifacts include both current and historical events, in addition to landmarks, architecture, famous persons associated with the location, natural phenomenon and age-based activities. Illustrative embodiments generate tours that connect artifacts by common theme and the current location of the mobile device. Information relevant to a particular location may be displayed or pushed on the mobile device unprompted when the device passes in proximity to a Bluetooth beacon.

Abstract: A wireless checkout system includes peripheral stations, a server that stores location information indicating a position coordinate of each of the peripheral stations, one or more base stations, and a mobile point-of-sale (POS) terminal. The mobile POS terminal includes a wireless communication interface configured to receive a wireless signal from the base stations, a display, and a processor. The processor designates one of the peripheral stations as an associated peripheral station, determines a position coordinate of the mobile POS terminal based on the wireless signal, selects, based on the determined position coordinate of the mobile POS terminal and the location information, another of peripheral stations that is closest to the mobile POS terminal to be an alternative peripheral station to be recommended for the checkout, when the associated peripheral station is not available, and then controls the display to display a screen indicating the alternative peripheral station.

Abstract: Facial recognition is used to allow access to platform-agnostic account information. A processing and verification device receives a request for a transaction requiring access to account information of a user. Responsive to the request, a new image of the user is generated, such as using an image sensor of a camera. The new image is used to query a database to determine whether an existing image stored in the database matches or substantially matches the new image. Responsive to a positive result of the query, the request is allowed by the processing and verification device granting the access to the account information. The access to the account information is then used to complete the transaction. The account information uses a global architecture such that it can be used with different hardware and software configurations of a connected system.

Abstract: Point-of-sale systems may include stations having interactive monitors mounted at specific heights and angles that permit such monitors to be viewed and interacted with by an associate or a customer. Some point-of-sale systems may include two stations, each having a monitor aligned in opposite directions, a user of one monitor may not view the other monitor, and vice versa. The point-of-sale systems may also include instrument readers (e.g., credit card readers or NFC readers) for recognizing payment instruments of customers and identifying the customers based on the payment instruments. Each of the monitors and instrument readers may be linked by cables to computer devices that are securely housed in a chamber above which the monitors are mounted. The monitors and other components are installed in a modular fashion, and may be independently installed or replaced without requiring an installation or replacement of the entire point-of-sale system.

Abstract: A volunteer reporting system is provided. The system includes a computer server having a memory storing organization data and user data and a user computing device coupled to the computer server. The computer server may be programmed to automatically determine an accumulated amount of time the user computing device has been within the proximity zone during a designated period of time less the time the user computing device is outside of the proximity zone until within the proximity zone and sensed and the server receives another signal during the designated period of time. Additionally, the system may generate a report of the location, time and accumulated amount of time the user computing device was within the proximity zone in response to receiving a request for the report.

For example, when an item is added to a catalog system, the item information may be included in the creation element at the start of the ledger for the item. A certification authority may be included to verify that items received correspond to the item included in the catalog based on one or more certification rules. If a certification rule is satisfied, a record may be added to indicate transfer of the item from a provider to the catalog system. The certification information may be dynamically presented with item description information such as in response to searches of the catalog system.

Abstract: Systems and methods for resource utilization management, such as resources available through one or more accessible resource facilities. Embodiments provide resource utilization management systems and methods which facilitate user-controlled reservation, access, and accounting for resource utilization. Embodiments implement an electronic user key-based infrastructure to enable access to and accounting for resources. Embodiments include optical recognition or geolocation for each resource for which resource utilization management is provided. A user device, such as a smart phone, personal digital assistant (PDA), or tablet computer, executing a resource utilization management application, may be configured to provide a resource key device which is operable to scan the resource for accessing and relinquishing that resource, whether on an ad hoc and/or reservation basis.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and machine readable media are provided for image-based replenishment. In exemplary embodiments, a system periodically obtains an image from one or more imaging devices in a facility of a selected rack of items among a group of racks. The system determines, based on the image, a first volume indicative of a volume of items on the rack. The system retrieves a sales forecast for the items on the selected rack and determines an expected second volume of items on the rack based on the sales forecast for the item. The system then determines whether the first volume is within a predetermined threshold of the second volume, and transmits instructions based on whether or not the first volume is determined to be within the predetermined threshold of the second volume.
