  • Patent number: 11173373
Abstract: A garment including a breath sensor module. The breath sensor module includes a stretchable sensor configured to respond to at least one of expansion and contraction of a torso of an individual wearing the garment. The breath sensor module also may include an electronics module. The electronics module includes, for example, a processor and a haptic feedback device. In response to the processor determining that the individual's breathing meets predetermined criteria based on the response of the stretchable sensor, the haptic feedback device produces haptic feedback such that the individual is reminded to breathe. Further, the breath sensor module does not include a transmitter or a receiver configured to transmit or receive data outside of the breath sensor module. Advantageously, this allows for streamlined use, and less-intrusive reminders to the individual wearing the garment, without the complexities of signal transmission or receiving.

  • Patent number: 11170664
Abstract: A method, apparatus and kit can be configured to facilitate improvements in fine motor skills of a user. The fine motor skills can be practiced in a way that also allows the user to better appreciate depth perception and other issues associated with manipulation of objects by use of hand operated tools while the user views an image of such activity via imaging provided by a camera sensor connected to a display device. In some embodiments, a case can be provided that is moveable from a closed position to an open and standing position to facilitate activities that allow a user to improve his or her fine motor skills and other related skills (e.g. depth perception appreciation). Such skill improvement can help a user improve their ability to perform surgical operational tasks or other fine motor related tasks.

  • Patent number: 11164481
Abstract: A method and an electronic apparatus for displaying reference locations for locating ECG pads and a recording medium using the method are provided. In the method, a body image is retrieved and a skin area in accordance with a skin color in the body image is detected. A feature analysis is performed on the skin area to detect two physical nipples and obtain locations of the two physical nipples in the body image. The relative locations of a plurality of ECG pads to one or two nipples predefined by medical statistics are retrieved to compute reference locations of the ECG pads in the body image according to the locations of the two physical nipples. Finally, the body image is displayed on the display and the reference locations of the ECG pads in the displayed body image are indicated.

  • Patent number: 11130063
Abstract: A gaming system has one or more biomechanical detection units that detect one or more user biomechanical movements of a real-world user. Furthermore, the gaming system has a processor that is programmed to invoke a game engine to generate a virtual game environment. The game engine also determines a real-world athlete having one or more characteristic biomechanical movements. Furthermore, the game engine generates a virtual avatar corresponding to the real-world user. The game engine also presents one or more virtual stimuli in the virtual game environment to the real-world user. Additionally, the game engine determines if the one or more user biomechanical movements in reaction to the one or more virtual stimuli correspond to the one or more characteristic biomechanical movements within a predetermined tolerance threshold, and generate a virtual game acknowledgement based upon the determination that the predetermined tolerance threshold is met.

  • Patent number: 11094212
Abstract: The sharing of signal segments using a semantic understanding of what is included within the signal segment. Upon selection of a physical entity (or portion thereof) that is rendered within a signal segment, the system then extracts portion(s) of signal segment(s) in which that selected physical entity appears. A representation of the extracted signal segment portion are then dispatched to recipients. Thus, portions of signal segments may be shared at the granularity of the content of what the signal segment depicts. There is wide flexibility in what representations of those signal segment portion(s) are shared.
