  • Publication number: 20250097734
Abstract: A system described herein may monitor a set of local Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”) associated with an edge computing device. The local KPIs may not be provided to a central orchestrator that is communicatively coupled to multiple edge computing devices. The system may monitor application KPIs associated applications implemented by the edge computing device, which may be provided to the central orchestrator. The orchestration models may include conditions associated with the set of local KPIs, and orchestration actions to perform with respect to the particular edge computing based on the conditions. The system may perform orchestration actions on the particular edge computing device based on the monitored local KPIs and application KPIs. The central orchestrator may identify that the application KPIs are below a threshold and perform a second set of orchestration actions with respect to the edge computing device, or one or more other edge computing devices.

  • Publication number: 20250088245
Abstract: The present invention describes a method of evaluating performance of a two-sided model used for performing CSI compression. The method includes receiving a first reference signal in a first time slot (t). A first channel Ht and a first Channel Quality Indicator (CQIt) are estimated at a first time instance. The first channel (Ht) is compressed using an encoder of a two-sided model. A compressed channel (Ht) along with the CQIt is transmitted to a Base Station (BS) (102). A second reference signal precoded with a reconstructed channel (?t) is received in a second time slot (t+1). A second channel Ht+1 and a second CQIt+1 are estimated at a second time instance. The second CQI (CQIt+1) and the first CQI (CQIt) are compared for determining performance of the encoder of the two-sided model.

  • Publication number: 20250088838
Abstract: Technology, including systems, methods, and devices, is disclosed herein for operating a wireless network including a control plane element and data repository. A method of operating the wireless network includes the data repository storing subscriber datasets received from the control plane element. The wireless network monitors a capacity of the data repository and detects that the capacity of the repository is at a threshold value. The wireless network classifies a subscriber dataset for handling based on a parameter associated with the subscriber dataset. The handling includes deletion, compression, or preservation of the subscriber dataset. The wireless network performs the handling with respect to the subscriber dataset. In some implementations, the control plane device includes one of a Unified Data Manager, a Policy Charging Function, and Network Exposure Function and the data repository includes a Unified Data Repository.

  • Publication number: 20250080378
Abstract: A network controller in an overlay network maintains collective sets of identity-based policies and identity mappings for onboarded users of the network for informed distribution to network elements across the network. As new users are onboarded, the controller identifies a site of the network at which the user was onboarded and determines identity mappings of the user and applicable policies for distribution to a network element at the identified site. The controller assigns index values to each identity and communicates the indices to network elements with the corresponding identity mappings and policies. The network elements encapsulate cross-site traffic with the index values corresponding to senders so recipient network elements can obtain the index value from encapsulation header formats, query the controller for the corresponding identity mappings, and apply policies to the traffic that are determined to be pertinent based on the sender's identity mappings obtained from the controller.

  • Publication number: 20250080591
Abstract: Techniques for controllable device deregistration and reregistration provide for enhanced network operator control over the timing of device deregistration and reregistration with the network. Example techniques can be applied by a home subscriber service (HSS) of an internet protocol multimedia core network subsystem (IMS). In response to a reregistration notification initiated by a network operator, the HSS can create an IMS deregistration notification comprising a reregister bit and can set the reregister bit to an enabled state. The HSS can then forward the IMS deregistration notification to downstream network equipment such as call session control functions (CSCF), which can in turn forward the IMS deregistration notification to a user equipment (UE), thereby causing the UE to re-register with the IMS.

  • Publication number: 20250068892
Abstract: Existing Convolutional Dictionary Learning (CDL) based machine fault classification do not utilize label information while learning the dictionary, hence the representation learned are not class-discriminative. Method and system disclosed herein provide a label-consistent convolutional dictionary learning approach for machine fault classification. The approach involves generating a training data for a classifier, wherein coefficients forming a plurality of class-discriminative features form the training data. The training data is then used to train a classifier, which is then used to perform machine fault classification for a given test data.

  • Publication number: 20250071524
Abstract: Techniques for optimizing messages in a telecommunications network are discussed herein. More particularly, an SMSF can be configured to refrain from sending deregistration and/or unsubscribe messages to a UDM in response to a handover from 5G to 4G, which can thereby reduce signaling in the network. Further, because of the suppressed messages, the network maintains SMSF session information, which indicates the delivery location for a SMS message. However, when a SMSC receives a SMS addressed to the UE, the HSS may query a UDR for SMSF session information, SMSF registration status, and/or AMF registration status. The HSS may determine a location for the SMS based on the active location of the UE, as determined by the AMF registration status. Thus, the techniques discussed herein represent network optimizations while allowing SMS messages to be correctly routed in a network.

  • Publication number: 20250071795
Abstract: In a wireless communication system, wireless network applications determine their priority indicators. The wireless network applications transfer their priority indicators to a data storage element like a Uniform Data Repository (UDR). In response, the data storage element transfers wireless network data to the wireless network applications in a priority order based on the priority indicators.

  • Publication number: 20250071711
Abstract: Techniques for authenticating user equipment (UE) in a Fifth-Generation (5G) network are discussed herein. A UE can connect with a 5G network and can send a registration request to an authentication server function (AUSF) of the network. The AUSF can request multiple authentication vectors from a unified data management (UDM) function, which can use a 5G-AKA (authentication and key management) procedure to generate authentication vectors. The AUSF can receive and store a subset of the authentication vectors at the AUSF (or another location) and can forward an authentication vector to an access and mobility management function (AMF) to subsequently authenticate the UE. Later, when the UE leaves the 5G network (e.g., because of a handover) and returns to the 5G network, the AUSF can re-authenticate the UE without additional signaling to the UDM to generate or otherwise determine additional authentication vectors, thereby saving additional signaling in the core network.

  • Publication number: 20250071715
Abstract: Technology is disclosed herein for operating a wireless network including deregistering a user device from the network. In an implementation, a first network element deregisters the user device from the wireless network. The first network element determines a cause of the deregistration from among a plurality of possible causes and generates a notification message indicating the cause of the deregistration. The first network element communicates the notification message to a second network element which purges subscriber data from a data repository of the network and updates a subscriber profile of the user device with the cause of the deregistration. In an implementation, the first network element is an Access and Mobility Management function (AMF), the second network element is a Unified Data Management function (UDM), and the data repository is a Unified Data Repository (UDR) of the network.
