  • Patent number: 7631582
Abstract: A wrench includes a body having two ends and a handle between the ends of the body. At least one of the ends of the body can be used for driving an object. The handle includes an upper face and a lower face opposite to the upper face. An anti-slipping section is formed on each of two end portions of the upper face and the lower face of the handle. Each anti-slipping section includes a plurality of embossed patterns. Since each anti-slipping section extends across the end portions of the handle, the user's hand will not slip during operation of the wrench even though there is oil on the user's hand.

Abstract: A screwdriver includes a first body having an end for coupling with a handle, a second body rotatably coupled to the other end of the first body, two pairs of engaging members, and a switch member pivotably mounted to the first body. Each pair of engaging members is slidably received in an associated transverse receiving section that includes two end openings in an outer circumference of the first body. Each engaging member includes a first end with an engaging portion. An elastic element is mounted between second ends of each pair of engaging members for biasing the pair of engaging members away from each other. The switch member is pivotable to selectively engage at least one of the engaging portions of each pair of engaging members with teeth of the second body, thereby controlling relative rotation between the first body and the second body.

  • Patent number: 7556448
Abstract: A turnbuckle is made by a method including preparing an iron tube having a longitudinal through-hole. A diameter of each of two ends of the iron tube is reduced to form a coupling section having an engaging hole, with an interconnecting section interconnected between the coupling sections. The interconnecting section is punched in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal through-hole to form a transverse through-hole perpendicular to the longitudinal through-hole and between the coupling sections, leaving two opposite peripheral wall portions spaced by the transverse through-hole and forming a bend extending inward from each of two end edges of each peripheral wall portion into the longitudinal through-hole. An abutting portion is formed between each bend and one of the end edges of one of the peripheral wall portions. Inner threading is formed in the engaging hole of each coupling section.

  • Patent number: 7503242
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a wrench handle includes preheating a work piece made of metal, with a layer of carbon scale being generated on the work piece during preheating. The work piece is forged to form a wrench handle, with the carbon scale on the work piece being forged into a surface of the wrench handle during forging. The carbon scale is then removed, leaving a pitted area with a plurality of pits in the surface of the wrench handle. Finally, a concealment treatment is carried out, wherein the pitted area of the surface of the wrench handle is pressed inward to form an indentation section on the surface of the wrench handle for covering the pits.
