  • Publication number: 20030149885
Abstract: A transfer and copy prevention digital recording media protection and master disk manufacturing method (the digital recording media referring to standard specification recording methods such as CD, VDC, DVD, MO, and flashdisks, etc.), the procedure of which involves the following steps. When digital recording media is press fabricated, an encrypted protection program and various protective schemes that constitute the content are imposed to produced a standard original disks (protected disks with built-in transfer and copy prevention technology). The protection program and protective scheme are not started if such original disks are placed in a conventional player, but play normally. When placed into a computer and read, the encrypted protection program is started and executed, and the disk will play normally if it is not unlawfully transferred and copied.

  • Patent number: 6563154
Abstract: An improved method for depositing the polysilicon layer from which a gate pedestal is later formed is described. Deposition takes place in two stages. Initially, the conventional deposition temperature of about 630° C. is used. Then, when the intended thickness of polysilicon has been grown, the temperature is ramped down to about 560° C., without interrupting the deposition process, and growth of the film continues to completion. This is followed by a standard doping step using POCl3. Polysilicon films formed in this way have been found to have very smooth surfaces because the topmost layer is less subject to uncontrolled grain growth. As a consequence, dielectric layers obtained by oxidizing such films exhibit superior breakdown voltages.

  • Publication number: 20030041233
Abstract: A method is provided to reduce strapping devices in a computer system having at least one configurable device, which includes the following steps. A configuration value stored in a non-volatile memory is first provided. During power-up and reset of the computer system, a processor reset signal and a bus reset signal of a high-speed peripheral bus are both asserted, wherein the high-speed peripheral bus is included in the computer system. When an operation clock of the high-speed peripheral bus reaches its working voltage and frequency, the configuration value is fetched from the non-volatile memory. The fetching step is repeated until a most significant bit (MSB) of a fetched configuration value changes from a first state to a second state.

  • Patent number: 6427705
Abstract: A simplified cleaning method for the removal of particulates and adherent residues resulting from the incorporation of laser identification marks onto silicon wafers is described. The cleaning method consists of first immersing the wafers in a heated ammoniacal/hydrogen peroxide RCA-SC-1 cleaning solution in the presence of megasonic agitation. This is followed by a immersion rinse in de-ionized water heated to at least 50° C. Finally the wafers are subjected to at least three quick-dump rinses in room temperature de-ionized water and dried. It is found that the hot de-ionized water rinse provides adequate removal of chemical residues remaining after the particle dislodging action of the megasonically agitated RCA SC-1 solution to eliminate the need for application of the acidic/hydrogen peroxide RCA SC-2 treatment.
