  • Publication number: 20150009980
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for wide local area network (WLAN) power amplifiers are provided. In certain configurations, a WLAN power amplifier system includes a WLAN power amplifier, an output impedance matching network, and an envelope tracker. The WLAN power amplifier includes an input that receives a WLAN signal having a fundamental frequency and an output that generates an amplified WLAN signal for transmission over an antenna. The output impedance matching network is electrically connected to the output of the WLAN power amplifier, and can provide a load line impedance between 10? and 35? at the fundamental frequency. The envelope tracker receives an envelope of the WLAN signal, and controls a voltage level of a power supply of the WLAN power amplifier based on the envelope signal.

  • Patent number: 8859918
Abstract: A position indicator for a circuit breaker is provided. A circuit breaker housing assembly body has an alignment surface. The position indicator includes an indicator member having an alignment surface and an elongated spacer member. The indicator member is movably coupled to the circuit breaker housing assembly adjacent a terminal screw with the spacer member generally aligned with the terminal screw. The indicator member is structured to move between a first position, wherein the alignment surface is not aligned with the housing assembly body alignment surface, and a second position, wherein the alignment surface is aligned with the housing assembly body alignment surface. The spacer member engages the terminal screw and, if the terminal screw is in a terminal screw first position, the spacer member prevents the indicator member from moving into the indicator member second position.

  • Publication number: 20140176243
Abstract: A system and method improve amplifier efficiency of operation relative to that of a matching circuit with fixed matching conditions. A power level representing a level of transmission power from an amplifier circuit and an indicator of amplifier circuit operation are provided. The indicator is at least one of channel, channel bandwidth, out-of band spectral requirements, spectral mask requirements, error vector magnitude, modulation rate, and modulation type. The matching conditions for a matching circuit of an amplifying transistor are adjusted based at least in part on the power level and the indication where the matching conditions are different for channels at an edge of a channel band than for channels nearer a center of the channel band.

  • Publication number: 20140131317
Abstract: An arc runner assembly for use in a circuit interrupter provides a pair of arc runners that are situated at opposite sides of a stationary contact of the circuit interrupter. If used in a DC application, the arc runner assembly is configured to communicate a positive DC arc along one of the arc runners in a first direction away from the stationary contact and is further configured to communicate a negative DC arc along the other arc runner in another direction away from the stationary contact. The arc runner assembly additionally includes a support that is electrically engaged with a conductor of the circuit interrupter on a surface opposite that on which the stationary contact is disposed. The improved arc runner assembly advantageously facilitates extinction of electrical arc and extinguishes both positive and negative DC arcs in a DC application.

  • Publication number: 20140032897
Abstract: A network-based application can establish a secure network connection to a switch. A unique identifier (UID) is generated for the network-based application, and a secure authentication request is generated from the network-based application. The UID for the network-based application is embedded in the secure authentication request. The secure authentication request is communicated to the switch. A response to the secure authentication request is received from the switch. One or more operations are performed that utilize the UID to establish a secure communication channel between the network-based application and the switch.

  • Patent number: 8561531
Abstract: A battery powered banding tool is adapted with a punch for use in tightening and securing center punch type band clamps. A hand-held electrically powered drill is configured for rotationally driving a band tensioner mounted thereto. The band tensioner includes a gear box, and a mount including a generally U-shaped rigid strap which engages the rear of the driving tool to secure the gear box. The gear box contains a worm gear axially coupled to the chuck for powered driven rotation thereby. The worm gear is in intermeshing relation with a winder gear disposed within the gear box and configured for rotation about an axis disposed generally perpendicular to the worm gear axis. A winder, defining a band-receiving slot, is affixed to the winder gear and rotationally driven thereby. A punch assembly, defining a band-receiving slot, is disposed in forwardly spaced aligned relation with the winder.

  • Publication number: 20130218178
Abstract: Formulations of shape memory polymer (SMP) are integrated with several existing clinically available medical fabrics. The SMP portion of a SMP-integrated fabric can be fabricated in varying thicknesses with the minimum thickness determined by the thickness of the underlying fabric and up to almost any thickness. A large variety of patterns may be formed in SMP-integrated fabrics based upon how the shape memory polymer is integrated into the base fabric. Integration of the SMP with the base fabrics does not alter the shape memory functionality of the SMP. The design tools for controlling activation rate for traditional SMP materials thus apply to SMP-integrated fabrics. SMP-integrated fabrics may also be steam sterilized without loss of shape memory functionality. By using multiple formulations of SMP on a single piece of fabric, a large combination of material properties may be provided within a single SMP-integrated fabric device.

  • Publication number: 20130203521
Abstract: A golf training device used to place the putter square to the golf ball and or target at address. The device consists of a straight back edge roughly the same length as a putter head. An open slot starts from the front going through the center of the device to a point where the ball sets at the same distance from the putter as the back of the device at address. The ball sets into the device at a straight line to the hole or target when placed into the slot of the device. If the golf ball is struck with the putter head parallel to the back of the device, and the slot is straight to the hole or target, the path of the ball to the hole or target will be straight. This improves grip and stance at address giving a true path to the hole or target as well as topspin from missing the device for a better roll.
