    Abstract: An electrical connector including an insulative housing and a number of terminals. The insulative housing includes an upper substrate and a lower substrate. The upper substrate defines an array of upper holes and the lower substrate defines an array of lower holes corresponding to the upper holes. The terminals are received in the upper and lower holes and each comprises an upper contact, a lower contact electrically connecting with the upper contact and a spring located between the upper contact and the lower contact. The upper contact protrudes a restricting portion for restricting the spring. A diameter of the lower hole is less than that of the upper hole and a distance of the restricting portion. So a top surface of the lower substrate supports the restricting portion.

    Abstract: A power semiconductor device having low gate input resistance and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The power semiconductor device includes a substrate, at least a trench transistor, a conductive layer, a metal contact plug, an insulating layer, an interlayer dielectric, a gate metal layer, and a source metal layer. The metal contact plug can serve as a buried gate metal bus line, and the metal contact plug can pass under the source metal layer and keeps the area of the source metal layer complete. Accordingly, the present invention can provide a lower gate input resistance without dividing the source metal layer, so the source metal layer can have a larger and complete area for the following packaging and bonding process.

A nitrogen doping process is performed to dope nitrogen into a portion of the work function modulation layer disposed on the PMOS region so as to form an N-rich work function modulation layer disposed on the PMOS region. A nonmetallic conductive layer is formed blanketly covering the work function modulation layer and the N-rich work function modulation layer. A portion of the nonmetallic conductive layer, the work function modulation layer, and the N-rich work function modulation layer is removed to form a first gate in the NMOS region and a second gate in the PMOS region.

    Abstract: A method of fabricating a metal gate structure is provided. Firstly, a high-K gate dielectric layer is formed on a semiconductor substrate. Then, a first metal-containing layer having a surface away from the gate dielectric layer is formed on the gate dielectric layer. After that, the surface of the first metal-containing layer is treated to improve the nitrogen content thereof of the surface. Subsequently, a silicon layer is formed on the first metal-containing layer. Because the silicon layer is formed on the surface having high nitrogen content, the catalyzing effect to the silicon layer resulted from the metal material in the first metal-containing layer can be prevented. As a result, the process yield is improved.

The spacing of the ballast members and widths of the strips cooperate to prevent any of the strips from being pulled away from the ballast members to form a loop having a diameter greater than twelve inches.

    Abstract: An exemplary method of etching an oxide layer and a nitride layer is provided. In particular, a substrate is provided. A surface of the substrate has an isolating structure projecting therefrom. A first oxide layer, a nitride layer and a second oxide layer are sequentially provided on the surface of the substrate, wherein the first oxide layer is uncovered on the isolating structure, the nitride layer is formed overlying the first oxide layer, and the second oxide layer is formed overlying the nitride layer. An isotropic etching process is performed by using an etching mask unmasking the isolating structure, and thereby removing the unmasked portion of the second oxide layer and the unmasked portion of the nitride layer and further exposing sidewalls of the isolating structure. The unmasked portion of the first oxide layer generally is partially removed due to over-etching.
