  • Publication number: 20110211480
Abstract: In a secure network where the network characteristics are not known, a call admission control algorithm and a preemption control algorithm based on a destination node informing the source node of the observed carried traffic are used to regulate the amount of traffic that needs to be preempted by the source. The amount of traffic that needs to be preempted is based on the carried traffic measured at the destination node. The traffic to be preempted is based on the priority of the traffic, where the lowest priority traffic is the first to be preempted until the amount of traffic preempted is sufficient to allow the remaining traffic to pass through the network without congestion.

  • Patent number: 7843741
Abstract: A number of read cycles applied to a selected memory location of a memory device, such as a variable-resistance memory device, is monitored. Write data to be written to the selected memory location is received. Selective pre-write verifying and writing of the received write data to the selected memory location occurs based on the monitored number of read cycles. Selectively pre-write verifying and writing of the received write data may include, for example, writing received write data to the selected memory cell region without pre-write verification responsive to the monitored number of read cycles being greater than a predetermined number of read cycles.

  • Publication number: 20100289104
Abstract: A photosensor package includes a substrate assembly, a photosensor chip mounted at the substrate assembly, a solder ball to electrically connect the photosensor chip, the substrate assembly and a printed circuit board, and a passive device mounted at the substrate assembly. Since the passive device is disposed on the substrate assembly of the photosensor package, it is possible to reduce the size of the printed circuit board compared to the convention technology where the passive device is disposed on the print circuit board. Furthermore, since it is possible to reduce a distance between the photosensor chip and the passive device, the electrical properties are also improved, and the number of processes may be reduced.
