Abstract: A device has a secure element including a memory that stores at least one address, a set of rules, and a state of an asset. A processor is configured for receiving a request to change the state of the asset associated with the address, validating the request in the case where changing the state of the asset according to the request complies with the set of rules, and invalidating the request in the case where changing the state of the asset according to the request violates the set of rules. A communications module is coupled to the secure element for transmitting information responsive to the request to a distributed network of peer processors for recording a change in the state of the asset in a distributed electronic ledger in the case where the secure element validates the request.

Abstract: Systems and methods provided for testing remote frequency identification (RFID) straps on a web. Testing system includes a test head having a pair of contact pins configured to be moved toward the web (or configured to make contact with web moved towards them) and into contact with the web or RFID strap. Conveyor continuously moves the web to move individual RFID straps into and out of alignment with the test head. Controller causes the contact pins to move toward the web at a frequency that's greater than the frequency at which the conveyor moves consecutive RFID straps into alignment with the test head. Alternatively or additionally, the test head may have a mount formed of a compliant material that allows at least a portion of the test head to deflect while the contact pins are in contact with a continuously moving RFID strap, thereby maintaining contact between contact pins and strap.

Abstract: A system has a storage medium encoded with program instructions, and a processor coupled to access the program instructions. The instructions configure the processor for: receiving a first request at a POS terminal to surrender a previously purchased first asset in exchange for at least a portion of a second asset that was used to purchase the first asset, receiving the private key from the first asset; accessing a set of rules stored in a distributed electronic ledger, the set of rules specifying conditions associated with the first request; transmitting an authorization to return the at least a portion of the second asset in exchange for surrender of the first asset, in the case where the conditions are satisfied; and invalidating the first request in the case where one or more of the conditions are not satisfied.

A value of the first transfer is compared to a total value in one or more accounts associated with the first client. At least one of the one or more accounts associated with the first client has a value in a first currency. A first draft is generated from a first account to an account associated with the second client. The first draft comprises a value in a second currency equivalent to the value of the first transfer.

Abstract: An apparatus for use in a digital asset tracking system includes a storage device and a processor coupled to the storage device. The storage device stores software instructions for controlling the processor that when executed by the processor configure the processor to receive a signal representing a request comprising a first transfer from a first digital container associated with a first client to a second digital container associated with a second client. A value of the first transfer is compared to a total value in one or more accounts associated with the first client. At least one of the one or more accounts associated with the first client has a value in a first currency. Abstract: The illustrative embodiments described herein are directed to a manually-actuated pump and method for applying reduced pressure at a tissue site. The manually-actuated pump includes at least one variable volume chamber that is manually compressible into a plurality of positions. The manually-actuated pump includes a fixed volume chamber in communication with the at least one variable volume chamber. The manually-actuated pump also includes a filter housing having a hydrophobic filter that prevents liquid from entering the at least one variable volume chamber. The fixed volume chamber is coupled to the at least one variable volume chamber via the filter housing. The filter housing is located in between the at least one variable volume chamber and the fixed volume chamber.

The reduced pressure source applies the reduced pressure to the tissue site through the plurality of lumens such that the at least one collection lumen receives fluid from the tissue site.
