  • Publication number: 20240350185
Abstract: Treatment of damaged, diseased, abnormal, obstructive, cancerous or undesired tissue (e.g. a tumor, a benign tumor, a malignant tumor, a cyst, or an area of diseased tissue, etc.) is provided by delivering specialized pulsed electric field (PEF) energy to target tissue areas in a specific dose so as to obtain a superior outcome. The PEF energy and delivery has been optimized to provide advanced treatment of target tissue areas, including destruction of undesired tissue and generation of improved inflammatory and immune responses. These various types of treatment are controlled by a variety of factors including the electrode geometry, the dose of PEF energy delivered, the time the energy is delivered over, and the waveform of the PEF energy itself. The PEF energy is delivered in the form a dose which is considered to be one application of the specialized energy. Each dose creates a lesion in the target tissue area.

  • Patent number: 12125497
Abstract: A health condition or change in health condition of a person may be determined by processing the person's speech with a neural network. Speech from more than one time period may be processed and, in some implementations, speech from a time period may be associated with a health condition label. For each time period, a feature vector may be computed from the speech and the feature vector may be processed with a neural network to obtain a speech embedding vector. In some implementations, feature vector may include word-piece encodings and the neural network may be a transformer neural network. The speech embedding vectors may be processed with a mathematical model to determine a change in a health condition between two time periods or to determine a health condition label for a specific time period. In some implementations, the mathematical model may be a regression model or a fully-connected neural network.

  • Publication number: 20240313239
Abstract: Molten carbonate fuel cell configurations are provided that allow introduction of an anode input gas flow on a side of the fuel cell that is adjacent to the entry side for the cathode input gas flow while allowing the anode and cathode to operate under co-current flow and/or counter-current flow conditions. Improved flow properties can be achieved within the anode or cathode during co-current flow or counter-current flow operation by diverting the input flow for the anode or cathode into an extended edge seal region (in an extended edge seal chamber) adjacent to the active area of the anode or cathode, and then using a baffle to provide sufficient pressure drop for even flow distribution of the anode input flow across the anode or cathode input flow across the cathode. A second baffle can be used to create a pressure drop at the anode or cathode exit.
