  • Publication number: 20050276131
Abstract: A semiconductor memory device includes a switch circuit that inverts input data or output data when burn-in mode enable signals are activated or a control signal switch that inverts external control signals or internal control signals when burn-in mode enable signals are activated. A burn-in test method for the semiconductor memory device performs a pass/fail decision to determine whether the output data has passed or failed based on an inverted logical value of the input data.

  • Patent number: 6968130
Abstract: A system and method for facilitating full utilization of an ultra-wide optical communication band spanning the useable band of the optical transmission spectrum, and providing appropriate protection strategies on the same mesh/ring network for all channels within the ultra-wide optical communication band. A network node architecture includes a band splitter to receive all of the optical signals sent on various wavelengths within the wide optical communication band. The band splitter separates a first group of the optical signals from a second group of the optical signals based on their range of wavelength. The first group of optical signals are those within a first wavelength range of the optical communication band, and the second group is from the second wavelength range of the optical communication band. A cross-connect circuit receives the first and second groups of optical signals, and routes them to targeted output ports at the output section of the node.

  • Publication number: 20040174335
Abstract: Electronic Ink is new display device offering excellent resolution and high contrast under a wide range of viewing angles, requiring no external power to retain its image. However, designing electronic ink display device always posts a challenge to achieve high resolutions, flexible functionality, and low cost manufacturability. Since the number of controls to each individual pixel on a display increases with resolutions and display's functions, the display design becomes more complicated and drives to higher manufacture cost. Here, we propose to apply the threshold property of the electronic ink in response to applied electrical fields to design simplified displays with good resolutions, flexible functionality, and low cost manufacturability.
