Abstract: A mobile communication terminal having a main body and a folder pivotably connected to the main body, each having internal surfaces provided with a ground coated with conductive material; a hinge device including a conductive hinge housing received in the folder and connected to the grounds, a conductive coil spring received in the hinge housing and supported at one end of the hinge housing against an inner wall of one end of the hinge housing, and a conductive contact pin supported at one end against the other end of the coil spring and protruding through the other end of the hinge housing to be connected to the main body; and a conductive hinge dummy mounted within the main body and connected to the ground and the other end of the contact pin. Thus, operational characteristics of the terminal are improved and electromagnetic wave absorptance is reduced.

Abstract: A mobile display device capable of communicating with a host computer depending upon whether it is coupled with a docking station. The mobile display device includes a wired module for receiving the wired input signal applied from the docking station and converting the wired input signal into a first video signal; a wireless module for converting the wired or wireless input signal applied from the host computer into a second video signal; a display panel for reproducing the first video signal and the second video signal; and a display controller for converting the first and second video signals applied to the display panel from the wired module and the wireless module depending upon whether the mobile display device is coupled with the docking station, and applying to the display panel a control signal for turning on and off images reproduced from the display panel upon the above-described conversions.

Abstract: A display device for a portable terminal displays an adaptive image in accordance with a position of a user. The display device includes a display unit, a slope detection unit for detecting a slope of the display unit that is rotating in one direction among front, rear, right and left directions from its upright position, an image processing unit for processing an image to be displayed on the display unit, and a control unit for rotating the image processed by the image processing unit in accordance with the slope of the display unit detected by the slope detection unit, and displaying the rotating image on the display unit. The display device can display an image to match the viewing angle of the user in accordance with the position of the user who views the display unit, and thus the convenience of the user of the portable terminal is maximized.

A pick up cap is disposed on the top surface of the cover, and includes a first end disposed on the top surface of the cover, and a second end interlocked to a sidewall of the base at the second end. The first end of the pickup cap is released when the cover is moved away from the second end of the base.

A PIP processing part supports the PIP function displaying a main picture as a full screen and a PIP screen smaller than the main picture. A micro controller controls the PIP processing part based on the PIP screen control signal transmitted from the mouse input processing part, and adjusts a size or a position of the PIP screen.

Abstract: A system and method for establishing protection routes in optical mesh networks. A protection protocol is provided that utilizes a destination-to-source communication channel to establish a source-to-destination protection route. The communication channel is established from the node detecting the failed link back towards the transmitting node. As the destination-to-source communication channel is being established back towards the source node, it concurrently directs the nodes along this path to perform switching functions to subsequently allow the information originally intended for transmission via the failed link to be switched to the alternate protection path. Various manners of ascertaining the protection routes are also provided, including predetermined and/or dynamically-generated protection paths established via the destination-to-source communication channel.
