  • Patent number: 8086872
Abstract: Provided is a method for setting a security channel between an OLT and at least one ONU in an EPON. In detail, a channel is generated by which the OLT makes a reciprocal security capability agreement with the ONU that wants to set a security channel in a discovery interval and then automatically registers the ONU with the security capability agreement. The security channel is set by which the OLT distributes an encryption key for the security with the ONU completed with the security capability agreement. A renewal point of the encryption key is shared by transmitting a message indicative of a time to change the encryption key between the OLT and the ONU both completed with the encryption key distribution.

  • Patent number: 8081661
Abstract: A dynamic bandwidth allocation (DBA) device and a method thereof are provided. In the DBA method, the band allocation periods according to class queues and allocable bands with respect to each class queue are calculated on the basis of the service level agreement information and stored according to the service types in separate tables. The bandwidth allocation amount is calculated with respect to class queues which have the allocation periods by concurrently checking all the tables at each frame. The upward bandwidth usage efficiency is improved by calculating the final bandwidth allocation information from the service with a high priority order on the basis of the total allocable bandwidth of the corresponding frame. The upward bandwidth allocation amount can be calculated at each frame by reducing the processing speed in calculating the bandwidth allocation amount of each class queue. Accordingly, it is possible to effectively use the network.

  • Publication number: 20100135666
Abstract: Disclosed is a clock phase aligning apparatus capable of synchronizing a clock signal in the middle of an upstream burst mode data bit in an optical line terminal of a passive optical network. The clock phase aligning apparatus effectively aligns a phase of a clock signal with a phase of data during an overhead period of burst mode packet data through an over-sampling scheme and a digital scheme. Burst mode data signals are subject to an over-sampling through a high speed continuous mode analog circuit and then converted into low speed parallel signals through a parallel conversion unit. Such low speed parallel signals are processed with respect to sampling patterns through a digital look-up scheme in a logic circuit device such that the phase of data is arranged with the phase of a clock signal during a limited bit stream specified in a burst mode preamble timing.

  • Publication number: 20100006446
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a printed circuit board with an inner via hole, the method including applying a first current to both surfaces of a core layer having the inner via hole, so that a first plating layer grows centerwardly in an equal rate from all the directions of an inner wall of the inner via hole to close one entrance of the inner via hole, leaving a remaining space the inner via hole unfilled; and applying a second current to fill the remaining space of the inner via hole. Also, the manufacturing method does not require filling an inner via hole with an insulating ink, and forming a conductive layer on the insulating ink. Therefore, the method increases productive capacity and reduces manufacturing cost by simplifying the manufacturing process and reducing the lead time.
