  • Patent number: 8261482
Abstract: A fishing net system featuring a telescopic handle, one or more rim components, and one or more net components. The handle is removably attached to the rim component via an attachment base. The rim component is constructed from a first semicircular arc and a second semicircular arc, wherein the arcs can connect together form a generally circular ring. Protrusions are disposed on the ends of the arcs, which are adapted to engage slots in the attachment base. The curvature of the first arc faced outwardly, and the second arc is adapted to rotate in its slot in the attachment base. An end attachment means temporarily secures the second end of the first arc to the second end of the second arc. The net component has a first half sleeve and a second half sleeve adapted to receive the first arc and the second arc, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20110232606
Abstract: A fuel injector is provided that creates variable spray characteristics to effectively reduce emissions, such as NOx emissions and particulate matter. The injector includes a nozzle valve element of the outwardly opening type including a fuel delivery passage and spray holes. The nozzle valve element is operable to move to a low lift position to cause fuel flowing from the spray holes to impinge on the injector body and to deflect toward the combustion chamber, and to move to a high lift position to cause fuel flowing from the spray holes to avoid impingement on injector body and flow in an obstructed manner directly into the combustion chamber. An annular chamber may be formed in the nozzle valve element adjacent the spray holes to receive fuel.

  • Patent number: 7979194
Abstract: The operation of a fuel injector for an internal combustion engine is controlled, wherein the fuel injector has an on time that includes a pull-in time during which injector current increases to a pull-in current followed by a hold time during which the injector current is limited to a hold current that is less than the pull-in current. A control circuit receives a pressure signal from a pressure sensor that corresponds to a pressure of fuel supplied to the fuel injector for injection into the engine, correlates the pressure signal with fuel pressure, and decreases the pull-in time with increasing fuel pressure.

  • Publication number: 20110052427
Abstract: A high pressure pumping apparatus for of an internal combustion engine includes a pump barrel having a bore with a central axis, and a two-part pumping plunger provided in the bore of the barrel. The two-part plunger includes first and second pumping plunger parts that are separate from one another and arranged substantially coaxial with the central axis of the barrel's bore. A first distal end portion of the first pumping plunger part abuts a first distal end portion of the second pumping plunger part, and a second distal end portion of the first pumping plunger part in part defines a pumping chamber. The high pressure pumping apparatus includes and a tappet assembly that is operably coupled to the second distal end portion of the second pumping plunger part for operably engaging a rotating camshaft, which causes the first and second plunger parts to move in reciprocal motion.

  • Patent number: 7890743
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for configuring a device based on proximity to another device. A user device is configured by obtaining one or more configuration rules that establish one or more configuration parameters of the user device based on a proximity to one or more additional general purpose devices; determining whether one or more of the configuration rules are satisfied; and configuring the user device based on the satisfied one or more configuration rules. The configuration rules can be configured by an authorized user of the user device. The proximity comprises a predefined physical relationship between devices that is based on distance, such as a radius around a given device, or a physical relationship, such as in the same room or building, or within a communication range of a device.
