  • Publication number: 20130254258
Abstract: An apparatus and method for off-loading application components to edge servers are provided. An application is made edge-aware by defining which components of the application may be run from an edge server, and which components cannot be run from an edge server. When a request is received that is to be processed by an application on an origin server, a determination is made as to whether the application contains edgable components. If so, an edgified version of the application is created. When a request is received that is handled by a component that may be run on the edge server, the request is handled by that component on the edge server. When a request is received that is handled by a component that is not edgable, the request is passed to a proxy agent which then provides the request to a broker agent on the origin server.

  • Publication number: 20130253989
Abstract: A method for maintaining professional-social networks can begin with the automatic creation of a professional-social network for each member of an organization by a professional-social network tool based upon electronic communication analysis. Each member can have a uniquely-identified organizational position within an organizational model of the organization. A professional-social network can be comprised of nodes representing the member's contacts that can be connected to the member by relationships that express an interaction context. In response to a change from a currently-held first organizational position to a second organizational position for a specified member, the specified member can be dissociated from the professional-social network of the first organizational position. The specified member can then be associated with the professional-social network of the second organizational position.

  • Patent number: 8543963
Abstract: Some embodiments provide techniques and systems for optimizing a circuit design's global leakage power. During operation, the system can determine leakage potentials for logic gates in the circuit design, such that a logic gate's leakage potential indicates an amount or degree by which the logic gate's leakage power is decreasable. The system can then determine a processing order for processing the logic gates based at least on the leakage potentials. Next, the system can optimize the circuit design's leakage power by attempting to decrease leakage power of logic gates according to the processing order.

  • Patent number: 8544076
Abstract: Providing access to an enterprise application from a telecommunications device via a client, through a device server, and an intermediate application gateway (IAG), is disclosed. The server is communication with the client and the IAG. The IAG and client are in indirect communication via the server. The client is operative to request an enterprise application token from the IAG using a dataset comprising a device identifier and a user identifier, without concurrently prompting a user for the dataset. The IAG is operative to prepare a token in response to the request, and push the token to an e-mail address associated with the telecommunications device via the server's push proxy gateway. The client is operative to employ the token in communications addressed to an enterprise application via the server and the IAG. The IAG is operative to replace the token in each communication with identification information called for by the enterprise application.
