  • Patent number: 8576793
Abstract: A wireless interface circuit transceives packetized data between a host module and a first external device using a frequency spectrum, wherein the packetized data is formatted in accordance with a first wireless communication protocol and wherein the packetized data includes an indication that the first external device is configured to use at least a portion of the frequency spectrum for communication via a second wireless communication protocol. A coexistence management module generates a wireless interface schedule that includes a least one contention free period reserved for communication via the second wireless communication protocol, and generates schedule data, based on the wireless interface schedule, for transmission to a plurality of external devices including the first external device.

  • Patent number: 8578148
Abstract: A method and system to transmit code to a System on Chip (SOC) from a host processor using a host-side driver is provided herein. The SOC and host processor are coupled by a bus. The host driver receives an overlay from an application layer and stores the overlay. The host driver receives an IOCTL to be transmitted to the SOC. The host driver determines whether an input/output control (IOCTL) value of the IOCTL to be transmitted to the SOC corresponds to an IOCTL value in one of the stored overlays. The host driver transmits an overlay to the SOC if the IOCTL value of the IOCTL to be transmitted is equal to at least one IOCTL value in the overlay. The host driver then transmits the IOCTL to the SOC.

  • Patent number: 8578224
Abstract: A master/slave latch includes an input stage, a master latch, a slave latch, and receives an asynchronous clear signal. The input stage is arranged to alternately pass or block a data input signal in response to a clock signal and a gated clock signal. The gated clock signal is the inverse of the clock signal when the asynchronous clear signal is not asserted, and the gated clock signal is not active when the asynchronous clear signal is asserted. The master latch receives and latches the passed data signal in a latched state, clears the latched state in response to the asynchronous clear signal being asserted, and generates a master latch output signal. The slave latch receives and latches the master latch output signal in a latched state. The cleared latched state is passed to the slave latch in response to the asynchronous clear signal being asserted.

  • Publication number: 20130279587
Abstract: A method, system and apparatus of lossy compression technique for video encoder bandwidth reduction using compression error data are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method includes storing an error data from a compression of an original reference data in an off-chip memory, accessing the error data during a motion compensation operation, and performing the motion compensation operation by applying the error data through an algorithm (e.g., determined by the method of storing the error data). The method may include generating a predicted frame in the motion compensation operation using a motion vector and an on-chip video data. In addition, the method may include determining the error data as a difference between a compressed reference data (e.g., is created by compressing the original reference data) and an original reference data (e.g., reconstructed from a prior predicted frame and a decompressed encoder data).

  • Publication number: 20130282666
Abstract: Disclosed are methods and apparatuses to provide a redo repeater that allows for no data loss protection without the performance impact to the primary database even when a significant geographical distance separates the primary and standby databases. The Repeater is a lightweight entity that receives redo from the primary database with the purpose of redistributing that redo throughout the primary/standby system configuration. The Repeater able to extend no data loss protection and switchover functionality to terminal standby databases even though the primary database does not need to have a direct connection with those destinations.

  • Publication number: 20130283087
Abstract: A mechanism is provided for handling incidents occurring in a managed environment. An incident is detected in a resource in the managed environment. A set of incident handling actions are identified based on incident handling rules for an incident type of the incident. From the set of incident handling actions, one incident handling action is identified to be executed based on a set of impact indicators associated with the set of incident handling rules. The identified incident handling action is then executed to address the failure of the resource.

  • Publication number: 20130283222
Abstract: Methods and systems for determining a numerical delay model based on one or more discretized delay models are described. A discretized delay model is a delay model in which the delay behavior is represented using a set of discrete data points of delay behavior. A numerical delay model is a delay model that can be used by a numerical solver to optimize a cost function. In general, computing delay using a numerical delay model is significantly faster than computing delay using discretized delay models. This performance improvement is important when optimizing a design for various metrics like timing, area and leakage power, because repeated delay computations are required in circuit optimization approaches.
