  • Publication number: 20130159540
Abstract: The present application is directed towards systems and methods for aggressively probing a client side connection to determine and counteract a malicious window size attack or similar behavior from a malfunctioning client. The solution described herein detects when a connection may be under malicious attach via improper or unusual window size settings. Responsive to the detection, the solution described herein will setup probes that determine whether or not the client is malicious and does so within an aggressive time period to avoid the tying up of processing cycles, transport layer sockets and buffers, and other resources of the sender.

  • Publication number: 20130147316
Abstract: A single critically damped acoustic stack yields a wide frequency range as an acoustic transmitter or as an acoustic transducer having particular use in well integrity determination. The critically damped present acoustic stack utilizes a plurality of stacked acoustic elements such as piezoelectric ceramics that are energized in two manners, providing different center frequencies; each producing a respective center frequency of 100% bandwidth to yield an acoustic stack having a total bandwidth exceeding the bandwidth of an acoustic element or the bandwidth of the plurality of acoustic elements. One manner of energizing is to pulse only one of the acoustic elements. The other manner is to pulse a first acoustic element the pulse a second acoustic element after a delay equal to the amount of time it takes for the first pulse to reach the face of the second acoustic element. The acoustic elements are bonded together and onto a critically damped backing of tungsten.

  • Publication number: 20130145337
Abstract: Systems and techniques for optimizing a circuit design are described. When a selected gate is transformed during optimization, it causes a slack value at a pin of the transformed gate to change. The change in the slack value, called the delta-slack, is then propagated through a transitive fanin cone and a transitive fanout cone of the transformed gate to compute the new slack values at all the affected pins of the design. Some embodiments update slack values without propagating arrival and required times, and also without repeatedly evaluating timing arcs to compute gate delays. The updated slack values can be used to compute timing metrics. The timing metrics can be used to decide whether or not to commit the gate transformation to the circuit design.

  • Publication number: 20130145336
Abstract: Systems and techniques for optimizing a circuit design are described. Some embodiments reduce the number of gates in the library (e.g., by dynamically pruning the library) which are considered for optimization. Some embodiments create a linear delay model, and use the linear delay model instead of a non-linear delay model to substantially reduce the amount of computation required to check whether or not a particular replacement gate improves one or more metrics of the circuit design. Some embodiments determine an order for processing the gates in the library or for processing input pins of a gate to facilitate early rejection of a candidate gate in the library of gates. In some embodiments, the evaluation of the impact of a candidate gate transformation is done progressively and level-by-level only up to the point where the gate transformation degrades one or more metrics.

  • Patent number: 8458054
Abstract: Technologies for providing suggestions of images for items without images in listings data are described herein. Item details regarding a number of items to be listed in online marketplace are received from a seller, validated, and processed before being merged in an item catalog. Those items submitted without image data specifying one or more images for the item are identified. An image index maintained in the online marketplace system and indexing images for popular items by keyword is searched to locate a number of images related to the items with missing image data. The items with missing image data are presented to the seller along with suggested images for the item. The seller selects one or more of the suggested images and the images are added to the listings data for the item before being merged into the item catalog.

  • Publication number: 20130132498
Abstract: A slave resource router may receive a client request. The slave resource router may be the nearest representation of an Anycast IP address in a network to a client sending the client request in the network. The slave resource router may then determine that the slave resource router has been authorized to cache content for a delivery service corresponding to the client request. Next, the slave resource router may determine that content corresponding to the client request is cached locally in a blind cache. Then the slave resource router may provide the client with the content from the blind cache.
