  • Patent number: 9469081
Abstract: An open perforated assembly typically includes a film layer (26) on one side of the open perforated assembly, and an adhesive layer (32) and a release liner (42) on the other side. The layers and liner are perforated with a plurality of holes (6). The assembly is devoid of any imperforate layer. The perforated liner has a first color visible from the other side. Upon removal of the perforated release liner the appearance of the assembly from the other side is similar to the appearance before removal of the perforated liner. The assembly may be imaged by digital inkjet printing using a digital inkjet machine. Its printheads are spaced from one side of the open perforated assembly and an ink receiving surface (62) is located on the other side such that ink that is jetted from the printheads and passes through the holes in the open perforated assembly is deposited on the ink receiving surface.

  • Patent number: 9459615
Abstract: A Human-Machine Interface (HMI) system provides graphical displays to communication devices. The HMI system processes status data from machine systems to generate display data for the graphical displays. The HMI system receives selection information indicating one of the communication devices and one of the graphical displays. In response, the HMI system retrieves display parameters for the selected communication device and retrieves the display data for the selected graphical display. The HMI system processes the display data and the display parameters to display a first model of the selected communication device rendering the selected graphical display. The HMI system allows the user to modify the graphical display and view a second model of the communication device rendering the modified graphical display.

  • Publication number: 20160271735
Abstract: A source of heat energy and a source of material for performing a material additive process upon the thin wall member is disclosed. A fixture is located relative to the thin wall element. The source of heat energy used for forming a joining member between the workpiece and the fixture to fixedly secure the fixture to the workpiece preventing the thin wall member from deforming when subject to the source of heat energy. A direct material additive process is upon the thin wall member adding material to the thin wall member to improve physical characteristics of the thin wall member. The joining member is mechanically removed from the workpiece after the work piece cools. A portion of the material is mechanically removed from the thin wall member to achieve desired dimensional characteristics.

  • Patent number: 9443180
Abstract: In one embodiment, a security label comprises a random arrangement of printed LEDs. During fabrication of the label, the LEDs are energized, and the resulting dot pattern is converted into a unique digital first code and stored in a database. The label is then attached to an object to be later authenticated, or the LEDs are printed directly on the object, such as a passport, license, bank note, certificate, etc. For authenticating the object, the LEDs are energized and the dot pattern is converted into a code. The code is compared to the first code stored in the database. If there is a match, the object is authenticated. The label may also have a printed second code associated with the first code, and both codes must match codes stored in the database for authentication. The general shape of the printed pattern may convey the proper orientation of the pattern.

  • Patent number: 9440631
Abstract: A vehicle brake monitor assembly for an air disk brake includes a brake actuator having a pushrod projecting from inside a chamber of said brake actuator. The pushrod releasably actuates a lever arm of a caliper thereby moving the disk brake into a braking position when the pushrod is in an extended position and releasing the disk brake from the braking position when the pushrod is in a retracted position. The pushrod includes a pushrod shaft and a contact member biased in a telescoping relationship relative to the pushrod shaft and the lever arm of the caliper abuts the contact member counteracting the bias of the contact member. A sensor is integrated with the assembly proximate the contact member and detects movement of the pushrod relative to the lever arm and to the pushrod shaft.
