  • Publication number: 20230374626
Abstract: The present invention is related generally to recovering metals from waste electronics, and more particularly to a process to recover copper and gold commonly found in waste printed circuit boards using a lixiviant containing a weak acid such as citric acid or acetic acid, a particular concentration of table salt and an oxidizer. By using this lixiviant, the copper found in the printed circuit board reacts to form copper salts and gold becomes detached. Importantly this recovery method of copper and gold found in waste PCBs is fast, does not pose environmental hazards and is economically feasible.

  • Publication number: 20230377266
Abstract: In various embodiments, a gradient modeling application automatically generates designs of three-dimensional (3D) objects. The gradient modeling application generates a set of points based on a resolution and a perimeter. The gradient modeling application computes a set of displacement values based on the set of points, a first two-dimensional (2D) border, and a first displacement parameter that is associated with the first 2D border. Based on the set of displacement values, the gradient modeling application generates a 3D object design.

  • Publication number: 20230355134
Abstract: The present invention relates to patient positioning. In order to improve patient positioning during a scan, an autonomous motion positioner is proposed using a critical range, which may correspond to maximum corrections achievable by the scanner hardware and the maximum tolerable image distortions. The critical range is determined based on one or more machine settings of the medical imaging system. As the machine setting(s) may vary in a given imaging exam, the critical range may dynamically change in response to a change of the machine setting in the given imaging exam. External sensors may measure, via a feedback loop, the deviation from the start position, i.e. the imaging pose position. If patient motion is too large and the motion parameter (e.g. translation and/or rotation) exceeds the determined critical range, then the scan process may be stopped. The autonomous scanner may hold in an idle mode. During that mode, the patient may be guided to retake its original position via a feedback system.

  • Patent number: 11811199
Abstract: A system and method for differentiating between different modes of pulsed electrical discharges via of an amplitude to time (ATC) conversion circuit is described. A bipolar ATC circuit is used to add together the positive and negative portions of an attenuated and filtered signal derived either from the voltage or current of a pulse. Alternatively, a unipolar ATC circuit may be employed. The resulting processed signal is compared against a reference voltage to generate an output signal that is active for the amount of time that the processed signal exceeds the reference voltage. Discharge mode is determined based on three factors: did a pulse occur, if a pulse occurred when did the pulse start relative to the original pulse event, and what is the duty cycle of the pulse. Subsequent pulse generated may be controlled accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20230352191
Abstract: The invention relates to a computer-implemented method (600) of monitoring patient data. A patient record data source enables to access a patient record of a patient, wherein the patient record indicates a version of a medical protocol currently being used with the patient. A protocol data source indicates available versions of the medical protocol and/or of a medical guideline from which the medical protocol is derived. The used version of the medical protocol is compared to a further version of the medical protocol or of the medical guideline accessible via the protocol data source to obtain a change indicator for the used version of the medical protocol, and the change indicator is output.
