  • Patent number: 11794882
Abstract: A shock absorbing system for use when landing an unmanned aerial vehicle uses a rocker arm pivotally attached to each landing leg of the vehicle. A strut bracket is attached to each landing leg below the rocker arm. A damper leg is pivotally attached to the rocker arm on one side of the landing leg attachment and the upper end of a damper-loaded strut is pivotally attached to the rocker arm on an opposing side of the landing leg attachment. The base of the strut is fixedly attached to the strut bracket. As the vehicle, it places a downward force on each landing leg which cause the bracket to slide downward along the damper leg, causing the damper leg to pivot its end of the rocker arm upwardly and thus the strut end downwardly causing the strut to compress against the bias of the damper and thereby dampen the landing. Damper leg pairs can be joined by a skid.

  • Patent number: 11798148
Abstract: A system, according to various embodiments, receives images such as photographs and videos from one or more portable computing devices associated with one or more individuals (e.g., construction workers or landscapers) while the portable computing devices are in a particular position within a particular location at a particular time. The system determines a virtual position within a 3-D representation of the particular location that generally corresponds to the particular position and combines the images with the 3-D representation to generate an enhanced 3-D representation of the particular location. This may allow, for example, owners of a particular property to track and quickly understand construction and landscaping work that has been done on their property and to easily contact those individuals regarding that work.

  • Publication number: 20230329849
Abstract: An oral care system for sensing blood in an oral cavity and in gum tissue. The sensing is performed magnetically using a magnetic field source (16) and magnetic sensing arrangement (18) incorporated into a cleaning or treatment portion of an oral care device (e.g. a brush head of a toothbrush or mouthpiece part of a brushing mouthpiece device). The field source generates (16) a reference field and the sensing arrangement (18) is arranged to sense the field strength of the reference field at one or more spatial points. Since blood is magnetic, when brought into the reference field, it magnetically interacts with the field, which may alter field strength, field shape, or flux distribution. This enables presence of blood to be detected. It also allows for detecting specific oral features or disease states associated with presence of blood or abnormal amounts or concentrations of blood. For example, this can be based on application of detection criteria which relate to one or more properties of the sensed field.

  • Patent number: 11762812
Abstract: Technologies for detecting changes in a namespace using namespace enumeration endpoint response payloads are disclosed. A namespace is enumerated at a first time by retrieving response payloads containing metadata describing each location in the namespace from a namespace enumeration endpoint. Signatures are generated based on the response payloads and stored. To determine if changes were made to the namespace between the first time and a subsequent second time, metadata is retrieved from the namespace enumeration endpoint for the namespace at the second time and signatures are generated. Signatures generated at the first time are then compared to the signatures generated at the second time. If the signatures are different, the items in the location in the namespace changed between the first time and the second time. Changes occurring in a location of the namespace can then be identified based on the metadata obtained at the first and second times.

  • Publication number: 20230287717
Abstract: A hardware assembly providing a motion-activated vent stop for a vent window assembly. The hardware assembly can detect excessive forces acting on the vent and quickly arrest any unintended or induced movement of the vent while enabling the regular function of the vent window under normal operating conditions. When an opening force acting on the vent exceeds a predetermined value, the resulting torque causes a shoe to pivot and engage a stepped profile of a guide slot of a track along which the shoe moves. Once engaged, the shoe cannot move along the track and continued movement of the vent is halted. The shoe includes a biasing member that engages the guide slot and produces a counter-torque that tends to bias the shoe generally vertically in the guide slot and enable the shoe to travel freely under normal operating conditions.
