Abstract: A method and a device for monitoring at least one vehicle passenger in a vehicle involve capturing images of the vehicle passenger by an image capturing unit and analyzing the captured images using an image processing unit. Vital parameters of the vehicle passenger are determined by the image analysis of the captured images. The vital parameters can include a pulse rate, a breathing rate and a breathing volume, a heart rate variability is determined from these vital parameters.

Abstract: Mapping data packets of a first data stream into data fields of a second data stream at several transmitters is provided by generating a first data stream with first data packets containing data associated with stationary receivers and second data packets containing data associated with mobile receivers in a head-end, where second data packets at the start of a group of consecutively transmitted second data packets contain placeholders into which signaling information is filled. A first data stream is transmitted from the head-end to each transmitter. Each transmitter extracts signaling information from the second data packets indicating in which data slot and in which data sub-frame of a received data frame the second data packet is transferred. Each transmitter inserts synchronization data in a specific data packet in each data slot containing second data packets. The first and second data packets are mapped consecutively into the second data stream.

Abstract: Compositions and method for stimulating and controlling arteriogenesis and lymphatic vasculature by preventing and/or reducing the cellular interaction between RAF1 and AKT have been developed. The compositions include molecules that increase the bioavailability of non-phosphorylated RAF1, for example, the RAF1 Ser259 to Ala259 mutant in (RAF1 S259A), and AKT1 inhibitory molecules. Defects, disorders or diseases of insufficient blood or lymphatic vasculature are treated by administering to a patient in need thereof, a pharmaceutical composition comprising a molecule specifically blocking RAF1-AKT crosstalk in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or excipient in an amount effective to enhance the growth of blood or lymphatic vasculature in the patient.

An open interface protocol, which is a shared communication protocol, allows the host to communicate instructions from the client computing device to the external application server. Through the external service application discovery process, the external application server describes functionality provided by the service application to the host.

The external application server is a web based system that allows a user of a client computing device to work with a file over a network via a general client application communicating with a host. The host brokers the functionality and provides a platform for interacting with the external application server. The external application server is implemented as a server farm. A fault tolerant farm system combines latent configuration replication between farm members, interchangeable farm members, and optional health monitoring to allow the external application server farm to provide on-the-fly configuration while maintaining full functionality without requiring a real time state management database.
