  • Publication number: 20100079740
Abstract: An image forming device has a conveying member, a light source, a photo-sensor, a shutter member, a shutter driving unit, a reflecting member and a judging member. The shutter member located between the photo-sensor and the conveying member is moved between a close position and an open position. The reflecting member provided on shutter member reflects light emitted by the light source when the shutter member entirely or partially shields the light emitted by the light source and directed toward the conveying member, and an intensity of light reflected by the reflecting member and detected by the photo-sensor varying depending on a position of the shutter member. The judging member judges whether the shutter member is located at the close position or the open position and whether the conveying member is present or absent based on the intensity of the light detected by the photo-sensor.

  • Patent number: 7617338
Abstract: A system for a processor with memory with combined line and word access is presented. A system performs narrow read/write memory accesses and wide read/write memory accesses to the same memory bank using multiplexers and latches to direct data. The system processes 16 byte load/sore requests using a narrow read/write memory access and also processes 128 byte DMA and instruction fetch requests using a wide read/write memory access. During DMA requests, the system writes/reads sixteen DMA operations to memory on one instruction cycle. By doing this, the memory is available to process load/store or instruction fetch requests during fifteen other instruction cycles.

  • Patent number: 7602536
Abstract: The image reading apparatus comprising an image sensor with plurality of reading devices one-dimensionally aligned in a main scanning direction allows reducing memory space necessary for image reduction process. Pixel signals in each channel read by a line image sensor are converted into pixel data in AFE, valid pixel data are captured therefrom, and then inputted into a reduction process unit. The reduction process unit skips pixel data sequentially inputted therein with predetermined intervals based on preset data reduction rate. Subsequently, pixel data after reduction process, that is only unskipped pixel data, are written into a memory via writing unit and memory control unit.

  • Patent number: 7574642
Abstract: A method is provided to utilize built-in self test (BIST) latches for multiple purposes. Conventionally, BIST latches are single purpose. Hence, separate latches are utilized for array built-in self test (ABIST) and logic built-in self test (LBIST) operations. By having the separate latches, though, a substantial amount area is lost. Therefore, to better utilize the latches and the area, ABIST latches are reconfigured to utilize some previously unused ports to allow for multiple uses for the latches, such as for LBIST.

  • Patent number: 7500618
Abstract: A valve device has a pressure chamber, which is connected to a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet and retains liquid, and a pressure regulator decreasing the pressure in the pressure chamber to a predetermined level. The pressure regulator has a pressure receiving member. When the pressure in the pressure chamber becomes lower than the predetermined level, the pressure receiving member is elastically deformed in an inward direction of the pressure chamber. The pressure regulator generates actuation force greater than the pressing force produced by the elastic deformation of the pressure receiving member. The pressure regulator is configured to be opened by the actuation force. When the pressure regulator is open, a fluid supply from the liquid inlet to the pressure chamber is permitted. It is thus possible to minimize the valve device.

  • Publication number: 20090042684
Abstract: [Problems to be Solved] By lowering the degree of close contact between a flat belt and the pulley surface of a pulley, it is possible to avoid production of separation noises, which sound “ji ji”. By increasing the coefficient of friction of the flat belt, it is possible to realize low-load transmission. [Means for Solution] The flat belt (1) consists of an upper rubber layer (2), a core layer (3), and an under rubber layer (4) which are laminated in order. The core layer (3) consists of adhesive rubber (3a) and a core cord (3b) which is wound spirally in the rubber. The upper belt surface (2a) and the under belt surface (4a) as belt transmission surfaces are rough rubber surfaces with fine irregularities. The rough rubber surfaces are formed by means of a vulcanization mold (11) or a vulcanization molding rubber sleeve (18) which has a shotblasted molding surface (sleeve surface), without post-working after the vulcanization molding.
