  • Patent number: 10361672
Abstract: An audio reproduction apparatus is shown and includes an amplifier with a power amplification stage having transistors in a push-pull arrangement. A bias generator biases the transistors with a standing current. A processor receives a data stream comprising digital samples of an analog audio signal and analyzes the peak level of each group. It then determines the appropriate standing currents to maintain Class A operation of the power amplification stage given the peak levels of each of the groups. A digital to analog converter produces an analog input signal for the input stage of the amplifier from the data stream. A feedforward path between the processor and the bias generator allows the standing current to be adjusted prior to the arrival of the analog input signal in the power amplification stage.

  • Patent number: 10282161
Abstract: A commercial album of analog audio recordings, having multiple tracks, is identified. An analog recording of the album is played to produce an analog audio input signal. The audio output signal is digitally sampled to produce digitized segments. One or more track-titles are obtained (1902) from a remote audio finger-printing service for each digitized segment to provide track-titles. For each obtained track-title, each album-title is requested (1905) upon which the obtained track-title appears, to provide candidate albums. A score is generated (1905) for each provided candidate album based on the number of obtained track-titles that appear on a provided candidate album in the correct order. An album is identified by comparing (2209) these scores.

  • Patent number: 10062192
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for performing flood-fill operations on vector artwork. In one embodiment, a region under a point of interest (POI) of vector artwork is rasterized and flood-filled, and an initial bounding shape around that area is used as a first guess as to the area to be filled. In other cases, the initial bounding shape is created around some initial area that includes the POI (no rasterization). In any such case, vector objects having bounding shapes that intersect the initial bounding shape are identified and fed into a planar map. After map planarization, a new bounding shape is created around a new area resulting from the planarizing and that includes the POI. In response to that bounding shape not extending beyond the initial bounding shape, a vector-based flood-fill operation can be performed on that new area. The process repeats if a new bounding shape extends beyond previous bounding shape.

  • Patent number: 9931817
Abstract: A method of cold forming a glass laminate structure. The method includes assembling a multi-layer structure having two buffer plates and a glass laminate structure intermediate the two buffer plates, wherein one or both of the two buffer plates includes a pattern formed thereon or therein or the multi-layer structure includes non-deformable materials forming a pattern. The method further includes cold forming the glass laminate structure in the autoclave by heating the assembled structure to a temperature about 5 to 10 degrees above the softening point of the polymer interlayer for a predetermined period of time at a predetermined pressure. After processing the glass laminate structure can be removed from between the buffer plates wherein the pattern formed in or on the one or both buffer plates or non-deformable materials has been transferred to the glass laminate structure as a function of variances of thicknesses in the glass laminate structure.

  • Patent number: 9925743
Abstract: A process for producing glass laminates including at least one sheet of glass having a thickness not exceeding 1.0 mm with reduced optical distortion and shape consistency. A pre-laminate stack of two glass sheets and a polymer interlayer are stacked between two buffer plates that are formed nominally to the desired shape of the laminate mold. The pre-laminate stack is held between the buffer plates while a vacuum is applied to the edges of the pre-laminate stack and the stack is heated to a temperature somewhat above the softening temperature of the interlayer to de-air and tack the interlayer to the two glass sheets forming the desired shaped laminate with reduced optical distortion.

  • Publication number: 20180081896
Abstract: A data analysis system is proposed for providing fine-grained low latency access to high volume input data from possibly multiple heterogeneous input data sources. The input data is parsed, optionally transformed, indexed, and stored in a horizontally-scalable key-value data repository where it may be accessed using low latency searches. The input data may be compressed into blocks before being stored to minimize storage requirements. The results of searches present input data in its original form. The input data may include access logs, call data records (CDRs), e-mail messages, etc. The system allows a data analyst to efficiently identify information of interest in a very large dynamic data set up to multiple petabytes in size. Once information of interest has been identified, that subset of the large data set can be imported into a dedicated or specialized data analysis system for an additional in-depth investigation and contextual analysis.
