  • Publication number: 20120074241
Abstract: A bathing apparatus includes an in-line mixing unit and a hand operated injecting unit. The mixing unit is coupled between a water supply pipe and a water dispensing device, such as a showerhead and is in fluid communication with the hand operated injection unit. The injection unit, upon user demand, draws a controllable predetermined quantity of bathing fluid from a standard off the shelf purchased bottle of bathing fluid, such as a bottle of bath oil, and then ejects, upon user demand and in a hands free operation, the drawn bathing fluid, at a user selected flow rate. The ejected bathing fluid passes to the mixing unit which causes the ejected bathing fluid to be mixed within a stream of water being delivered to the water dispensing device.

  • Publication number: 20120026308
Abstract: A video monitoring system captures image frames of a patient in various positions. The captured image frames are analyzed by the system for changes in a patient's position or movement, frames in which the system detects one or both of patient movement and repositioning are retained. The system analyzes an area of interest within each image frame that corresponds to an area in the camera's view field with the patient. Sequential image frames are compared for motion, only frames without motion, where the patient is still, are analyzed.

  • Publication number: 20110191933
Abstract: An attachment system principally use on garment (10, 30) provides a number of aligned loops (15) on the garment and a number of aligned loops (24) on a load such as an equipment pack (17). The load also includes an elongate securing member that extends from the load with a flexible proximal portion (26) and a stiffened distal portion (27). The stiffened distal portion (27) can be very readily threaded through successive ensemble loops (15) and load loops (24) to pull the flexible proximal portion (26) through the loops (15, 24) to attach the load (17) to the garment (10, 30). The stiffened distal portion (27) is then fed back through the loops (15, 24) to provide a geometric lock that prevents the load (17, 18) detaching from the garment (10, 30). Various loads can be attached in this way.

  • Patent number: 7933971
Abstract: There is described a method of communicating over a public data network, for example the Internet. A user of a public PC, for example one located in an Internet café, uses the Internet browser provided on the public PC to downloaded from a remote trusted web site a secure Internet browser that then runs within the browser provided on the public PC. The user uses the secure Internet browser to browse the Internet. The secure browser has been configured so that no copy of information transmitted into the network or downloaded from the network is cached or otherwise recorded on the hard disc of the terminal. The user may thus browse the Internet without leaving a record of sensitive information (e.g. credit card details) used in the browsing session at the public terminal.

  • Publication number: 20110078225
Abstract: The invention set forth herein describes a mechanism for efficiently performing extended precision operations on multi-word source operands. Corresponding data words of the source operands are processed together via each instruction of a cascading sequence of instructions. State information generated when each instruction is processed is stored in condition code flags. The state information is optionally used in the processing of subsequent instructions in the sequence and/or accumulated with previously set state information.

  • Publication number: 20110078415
Abstract: The invention set forth herein describes a mechanism for predicated execution of instructions within a parallel processor executing multiple threads or data lanes. Each thread or data lane executing within the parallel processor is associated with a predicate register that stores a set of 1-bit predicates. Each of these predicates can be set using different types of predicate-setting instructions, where each predicate setting instruction specifies one or more source operands, at least one operation to be performed on the source operands, and one or more destination predicates for storing the result of the operation. An instruction can be guarded by a predicate that may influence whether the instruction is executed for a particular thread or data lane or how the instruction is executed for a particular thread or data lane.

  • Publication number: 20110074802
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for a program to access multi-dimensional formatted graphics surface memory. Multi-dimensional memory objects called “surfaces” stored in a user-specified data or pixel format and arranged in a graphics optimized layout are accessed by programs using surface instructions. A set of memory access instructions e.g., load, store, reduce, and atomic, referred to as surface instructions, may be used to access the surfaces. Coordinate bounds checking is performed with configurable clamping. Caching behavior may also be specified by the surface instructions. Data format conversion and packing to a specified storage format is supported for store, reduction, and atomic surface instructions. Data format conversion and unpacking from a specified storage format is supported for loads and atomic surface instructions.

  • Publication number: 20110072248
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a mechanism for managing thread divergence in a thread group executing a multithreaded processor. A unanimous branch instruction, when executed, causes all the active threads in the thread group to branch only when each thread in the thread group agrees to take the branch. In such a manner, thread divergence is eliminated. A branch-any instruction, when executed, causes all the active threads in the thread group to branch when at least one thread in the thread group agrees to take the branch.

  • Publication number: 20110047146
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media are described for accessing information related to a request in addition to the requested information. A query is submitted from a user device that requests specific information from a database. The query is executed to access a database snippet which includes the specific information and additional information related to the query. A hierarchical data object is formed from the accessed database snippet. Metadata tags are added to create a tagged hierarchical data object and the tagged hierarchical data object is sent to the user device, wherein the hierarchical data object may be accessed and displayed independent of the display size of the user device, and without a requirement to develop display forms needed with conventional solutions.

  • Patent number: 7874232
Abstract: A system, apparatus, and method for installing fasteners are disclosed involving a fastener installation tool and a socket assembly. The fastener installation tool comprises a tool component and a gear head. The gear head comprises a lever, a retaining slide, a retaining slide housing, and at least one gear. The socket assembly comprises a socket, a hex key, and a hex key retainer. An end of the drive shaft of the socket has an annular groove around the circumference of the exterior surface of the drive shaft. When the retaining slide is slid into a locked position, the retaining slide engages the annular groove of the drive shaft of the socket, thereby attaching the drive shaft of the socket to the gear head of the fastener installation tool. A socket gear of the gear head matingly engages the drive shaft of the socket to rotate the socket.
