  • Patent number: 11329914
Abstract: In general, techniques are described for defining and executing device-independent commands on a network having a plurality of network devices. In some examples, a controller includes a graphical user interface. The controller displays, via the graphical user interface, network devices that support a device-independent command selected from one or more device-independent commands, wherein each device-independent command performs one or more operations on supported network devices. The controller receives, via the graphical user interface, user input selecting two or more of the displayed network devices and performs the one or more operations of the selected device-independent command on the selected network devices. In some examples, performing includes executing tasks associated with each network device, wherein the tasks, when executed, perform the one or more operations on each respective network device.

  • Patent number: 11328951
Abstract: A transistor cell including a deep via that is at least partially lined with a dielectric material. The deep via may extend down to a substrate over which the transistor is disposed. The deep via may be directly connected to a terminal of the transistor, such as the source or drain, to interconnect the transistor with an interconnect metallization level disposed in the substrate under the transistor, or on at opposite side of the substrate as the transistor. Parasitic capacitance associated with the close proximity of the deep via metallization to one or more terminals of the transistor may be reduced by lining at least a portion of the deep via sidewall with dielectric material, partially necking the deep via metallization in a region adjacent to the transistor.

  • Publication number: 20220138909
Abstract: Aspects relate to noise processing of image frames for video. An example device is configured to perform operations including receiving a sequence of image frames for a digital video, determining an image quality metric of a first image frame from the sequence of image frames, and determining a number of image frames from the sequence of image frames to be blended based on the image quality metric (with the number of image frames including the first image frame). The operations also include blending the number of image frames to generate a blended image frame of the digital video. The image quality metric may include a light intensity metric (such as a luminance metric measured during an autoexposure operation) or a sharpness metric (such as a focus metric measured during an autofocus operation).

  • Patent number: 11323477
Abstract: Techniques are described for enabling users to establish Secure Shell (SSH) connections with compute instances running in private subnets of virtual private networks of a cloud provider network. A “bastion” compute instance, including an SSH server and specialized SSH client software, is used to enable connections to compute instances in a private subnet of a virtual private network. A bastion instance is a server designed to be a primary point of access from the internet (e.g., by its inclusion in a public subnet of a virtual private network) and acts as a proxy for compute instances running in a private subnet of a virtual private network. The ability for a bastion instance to establish connections to instances in a private subnet is based on a role attached to the bastion instance, where the role may be defined using an identity and access management service of the cloud provider network.

  • Patent number: 11314728
Abstract: A distributed database system maintains data for a logical table by storing, on a plurality of storage nodes, a collection of key-item pairs. An operation to delete a range of these items is processed by first storing, on each of the plurality of storage nodes, a tombstone record indicative of the items to be deleted. The tombstones are committed once each of the plurality of nodes has stored the tombstone. Items within the range are treated as deleted. A cleanup operation deletes items within the range and updates the tombstone.

  • Publication number: 20220121696
Abstract: An electronic device generates a score for each objective in a hierarchy of objectives. Generating the score comprises using a representation of the media content item and a user as inputs to a first machine learning algorithm, to generate a score for a first objective corresponding to a first level in the hierarchy of the objectives and using an output of the first machine learning algorithm, distinct from the score for the first objective, as an input to a second machine learning algorithm to generate a score for a second objective corresponding to a second level in the hierarchy of objectives. The electronic device generates a respective score between the user and the media content item using the score for the first objective and the score for the second objective and provides media content to the user based on the respective scores.

  • Patent number: 11310241
Abstract: The disclosed system implements techniques to enable a tenant of a cloud-based platform to effectively and efficiently apply a policy that copies data packets communicated to or from a virtual machine in the tenant's own virtual network. When applied, the policy mirrors data traffic associated with a workload executing on a virtual machine in the tenant's virtual network. To mirror the data traffic, a copy of a data packet is streamed to another virtual machine so that network analytics can be performed (e.g., performance analytics, security analytics, etc.). In various examples, the policy can be a role-based mirroring policy that defines a plurality of roles in association with a role-based access model that scales operations and that provides improved security for a tenant's virtual network.

  • Patent number: 11308039
Abstract: The present technology can move operating system folders into a sync folder of a cross platform content management system, and redirect the operating system to look for the OS folders in the sync folder. The present technology also provides an invariant checker to make sure that another application has not moved the OS folders after they have been placed in the sync folder, and provides solutions when the OS folders are moved out of the sync folder of the content management system. Additionally, when OS folders for multiple client devices are in the sync folder on the content management system, the present technology can provide a mechanism to make the content items in an OS folder on a first client device also sync into an OS folder on second client device.

  • Patent number: 11301513
Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products are provided personalizing recommendations of items with associated explanations. The example embodiments described herein use contextual bandits to personalize explainable recommendations (“recsplanations”) as treatments (“Bart”). Bart learns and predicts satisfaction (e.g., click-through rate, consumption probability) for any combination of item, explanation, and context and, through logging and contextual bandit retraining, can learn from its mistakes in an online setting.

  • Publication number: 20220108500
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer storage media directed to adaptable drawing guides. In implementations, a guide mode is identified. Generally, a guide mode indicates a manner in which to use a drawing guide to confine strokes corresponding with input paths. Upon detecting an input path, a stroke is drawn in accordance with the guide mode. For example, when an edge mode is employed, the drawn stroke is confined to align with at least one edge of the drawing guide, when an inside mode is employed, the drawn stroke is confined inside of the set of edges of the drawing guide, and when the outside mode is employed, the drawn stroke is confined outside of the set of edges of the drawing guide.
