  • Patent number: 11636716
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for wirelessly updating electronic control unit configuration can include determining operation parameters to be changed of an electronic control unit of an equipment, and generating a write package including the operating parameters to be changed. The systems, apparatuses, and methods include transmitting the write package to the equipment. The write package causes the electronic control unit to change the operation parameters upon verifying that the operation parameters are applicable to the equipment based on values of the parameters. In response to determining that the operation parameters are not applicable to the equipment, the write package can be discarded.

  • Publication number: 20230124956
Abstract: An integrated circuit may include a ranging receiver that includes an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) having a time-variant sampling or data rate. Notably, the sampling rate may be increased when a return signal is detected by the ranging receiver. For example, the return signal may be detected using a matched filter (such as a correlation of the return signal and a target signal) and a comparator having a time-variant threshold. The time-variant threshold may be decreased as a function of time after a transmit signal is output in order to track the channel response, such as a decrease in the return signal amplitude for objects at larger ranges. Alternatively or additionally, the sampling rate may be increased based at least in part on a predefined function (such as a closed-form expression or a stepwise function, e.g., a stairstep function) after the transmit signal is output.

  • Patent number: 11631162
Abstract: Fill techniques as implemented by a computing device are described to perform hole filling of a digital image. In one example, deeply learned features of a digital image using machine learning are used by a computing device as a basis to search a digital image repository to locate the guidance digital image. Once located, machine learning techniques are then used to align the guidance digital image with the hole to be filled in the digital image. Once aligned, the guidance digital image is then used to guide generation of fill for the hole in the digital image. Machine learning techniques are used to determine which parts of the guidance digital image are to be blended to fill the hole in the digital image and which parts of the hole are to receive new content that is synthesized by the computing device.

  • Publication number: 20230116390
Abstract: The embodiments herein describe authenticating a photomask used to fabricate an IC or a wafer. Because the IC may have been fabricated at a third-party IC manufacturer, the customer may want to ensure the manufacturer did not mistakenly use an incorrect mask, or that the mask was not altered or replaced with a rogue mask by a nefarious actor. That is, the embodiments herein can be used to identify when an IC manufacture (whether trusted or not) mistakenly used the wrong photomask, or to verify that a third-party IC manufacturer did not tamper with or replace the authentic photomask with a rogue mask. Advantageously, the embodiments herein can create a secure IC fabrication process to catch mistakes as well as ensure that non-trusted third-parties did not introduce defects into the IC.

  • Patent number: 11618490
Abstract: A method apparatus are directed to identify items disposed on the bottom shelf of a shopping cart bottom of basket (BoB). Certain aspects envision a distance measurement sensor and computing system connected to the shopping cart. A first set of distance measurements of the bottom shelf when empty is obtained via the distance measurement sensor. Next, at a checkout stand, a second set of distance measurements of the shelf are taken, which can be used to compare with the first set of distance measurements to identify if there is an object on the BoB. An alert can be provided to a checkout attendant if there is an object on the BoB.

  • Publication number: 20230042591
Abstract: An interface circuit may convert an input electrical signal at an input node in a first power domain having a first ground or reference voltage into an output electrical signal at an output node in a second power domain having a second ground or reference voltage. Notably, a level-shifting circuit in the interface circuit may selectively electrically couple to the input node and the output node. Then, when there is electrical coupling, the level-shifting circuit may perform level shifting between the first power domain and the second power domain. The level shifting may involve: passing, using a first filter, frequencies in the input electrical signal below a first corner frequency; passing, using a second filter in parallel with the first filter, frequencies in the input electrical signal above a second corner frequency; and combining outputs of the first filter and the second filter as the output electrical signal.
