  • Patent number: 8860101
Abstract: A system and method for reducing cross-talk between photosensitive diodes is provided. In an embodiment an isolation region comprising a first concentration of dopants is located between the photosensitive diodes. The photosensitive diodes have a second concentration of dopants that is less than the first concentration of dopants, which helps to prevent diffusion from the photosensitive diodes to form a potential path for undesired cross-talk between the photosensitive diodes.

  • Patent number: 8847864
Abstract: A color flat display panel and a corresponding color flat display device are disclosed. The color flat display panel comprises a plurality of pixels, a plurality of scanning lines and a plurality of data lines. Each of the pixels comprises a first color sub-pixel, a second color sub-pixel and a third color sub-pixel, each of the scanning lines is electrically connected with a corresponding row of sub-pixels in a row direction, and each of the data lines is electrically connected with a corresponding column of sub-pixels in a column direction. The first color sub-pixel, the second color sub-pixel and the third color sub-pixel of each of the pixels are arranged in the column direction so that the corresponding row of sub-pixels electrically connected with each of the scanning lines are sub-pixels of a same color. As sub-pixels of each row are of a same color, each sub-pixel can receive a Gamma curve of the same color, thus obviating the color-cross.

  • Patent number: 8736530
Abstract: A method for driving a liquid crystal display (LCD) is disclosed. The LCD includes a common electrode, a pixel electrode, and a liquid crystal layer having a plurality of impurity ions. The method includes: separating the impurity ions toward the common electrode and the pixel electrode to form an internal electric field in the liquid crystal layer; and providing a common voltage for the common electrode, and providing a first compensation voltage and a second compensation voltage for the pixel electrode. The first compensation voltage and the second compensation voltage herein are utilized to compensate the internal electric field so that a difference between the first compensation voltage and the common voltage is equal to a difference between the second compensation voltage and the common voltage. Charge accumulation is formed intentionally, and then the first compensation voltage and the second compensation voltage are provided to correctly display images.
