  • Publication number: 20090219294
Abstract: Embodiments described herein are directed to automatically generating an animation for a transition between a current state and a new state. In one embodiment, a computer system accesses state properties of a visual element corresponding to a current state the visual element is in and a new state the visual element is to be transitioned to. The state properties include visual properties and transition description information. The computer system determines the differences between the visual properties of the current state and the new state and automatically generates an animation based on the determined differences between the visual properties for the current state and the new state, such that the animation is playable to transition the visual element from the current state to new state.

  • Publication number: 20090197872
Abstract: This invention relates to novel 1,4-diaza-bicyclo[3.2.2]nonyl pyrimidinyl derivatives and their use in the manufacture of pharmaceutical compositions. The compounds of the invention are found to be cholinergic ligands at the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and modulators of the monoamine receptors and transporters. Due to their pharmacological profile the compounds of the invention may be useful for the treatment of diseases or disorders as diverse as those related to the cholinergic system of the central nervous system (CNS), the peripheral nervous system (PNS), diseases or disorders related to smooth muscle contraction, endocrine diseases or disorders, diseases or disorders related to neuro-degeneration, diseases or disorders related to inflammation, pain, and withdrawal symptoms caused by the termination of abuse of chemical substances.

  • Patent number: 7571173
Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating a target database on a target platform based on a source database on a source platform is provided. A target database is created on the target platform based on data, metadata (for example, data in the system tablespace and control files), and external objects (for example, password files and externally stored tables) comprised within the source database. Data and metadata stored in tablespaces of the source database are converted to the format compatible with the target platform. The conversion of the data and metadata may be performed either at the source database or the target database. Redo information and undo information of the source database are not copied from the source database to the target database. Certain files, e.g., a password files, and links to externally stored object may be recreated on the target database.

  • Publication number: 20090178079
Abstract: A system and a method is disclosed which allows both advertisement and program information to be shown on a channel banner, while user changes channel. In another embodiment, an “advertisement channel” is inserted into an active channel list (e.g., scan list), so that when a user is changing channel, a selected ad will be displayed. In yet another embodiment, a method for tracking and collating advertisement display activity in a video system supporting composite display of image data associated with different multimedia functions and advertisements is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20090160759
Abstract: A moving particle display device comprises an array of rows and columns of display pixels (41,42,43,44), a plurality of row address lines (Row1,Row2;72; 112), each row address line for addressing a respective row of pixels and a plurality of column address lines (Col1,Col2;76; 108), each for providing pixel data to a respective column of pixels. A plurality of discharge column lines (82) is provided. A pixel is addressed by addressing a row of pixels and providing data to the pixels in the addressed row using the column address lines (Col1,Col2;76; 108). A charge flow from a column address line to an addressed pixel in the column flows to a respective discharge column line (82). By having discharge lines in the column direction, when a row of pixels is addressed, a current flow through the pixel, which is used to load data into the pixel from a column address line, passes to a column discharge line.

  • Publication number: 20090160846
Abstract: A system for driving a moving particle display device, such as an electrophoretic display device, is disclosed. The display device comprises first and second cells (30) that are set to target optical states to give the cells' their target optical appearances. The first and second cells are driven differently from one another, such that errors in the first cell's target optical state occur in the opposite direction to errors in the second cell's target optical state. Hence, when the cells are viewed from a distance by a viewer of the display, the light from the first and second cells mixes together, and the optical state errors appear to compensate or cancel one another out.

  • Publication number: 20090150200
Abstract: A method and system for generating interpreted damage estimate information. The steps of generating an interpretation of repair operations consists of selecting a interpretation template from a plurality of interpretation templates, reading a damage estimate file, identifying one or more nomenclature in said damage estimate containing repair operations, determining the sections or groups' contained in said damage estimate file, identifying common section indices for the identified sections or groups, retrieving repair/refinish/replacement parts interpretations that consist of a common section index, related repair/refinish/replacement interpretation, interpreted section header, associated graphical images, and creating a displayable repair interpretation file.
