In one embodiment, an antenna comprises a physical antenna aperture having first and second substrates forming an array of radio-frequency (RF) radiating antenna elements that are controlled and operable together to form a beam for the frequency band for use in holographic beam steering, wherein each of the antenna elements is coupled to a circuit to supply a voltage to the said each antenna element and a storage capacitor formed with a plurality of conductive layers (e.g., metal layers) on a first substrate, wherein top and bottom conductive layers of the plurality of conductive layers are at a first voltage that is equal to a second voltage on a conductive layer (e.g., a metal layer) of the second substrate to reduce parasitic capacitance produced between the storage capacitor and the conductive layer on the second substrate.

A small difference in the coefficient of friction between the modified and unmodified regions of the lens may result in an equivalent rotational force to that of a thickness gradient lens. This small difference in the coefficient of friction produces a means to orient and stabilize the contact lens on eye.

Abstract: A shelving system having a top, bottom and intermediate shelves mounted on vertical supports. The intermediate shelves are mounted on adjustable brackets that permit individual removal of the intermediate shelves without disturbing the top and bottom shelves. The adjustable brackets comprise at one end a pin that is adapted to be inserted into a series of apertures formed along the length of each support. Opposite the pin, a mounting member is sized and shaped to receive a corner of each shelf. A stop is formed on the bracket between the pins and mounting member.

The external frame itself comprises a plurality of legs that converge above the plurality of sails at a central point about the vertical axis of rotation and extend beyond the path swept by the plurality of sails. A coupling mechanism connects one or more of the plurality of legs to the plurality of sails and allows the sails to rotate about the vertical axis of rotation while the legs remain stationary.

Abstract: As etching processes become more aggressive, increased etch resistivity of the hard mask is desirable. Methods of modulating the etch rate of the mask and optionally the underlying material are disclosed. An etch rate modifying species is implanted into the hard mask after the mask etching process is completed. This etch rate modifying species increases the difference between the etch rate of the mask and the etch rate of the underlying material to help preserve the integrity of the mask during a subsequent etching process. In some embodiments, the etch rate of the mask is decreased by the etch rate modifying species. In certain embodiments, the etch rate of the underlying material is increased by the etch rate modifying species.
