Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to a semantic clothing attribute in an image. A probability of a semantic clothing attribute in an image may be determined. The probability of the semantic clothing attribute may be determined based on a comparison of the image to an image feature associated with the semantic clothing attribute.

Abstract: An integrated optical fiber gyroscope chip based on surface Plasmon Polariton waveguide is an integrated optical fiber gyroscope chip in which optical signal is transmitted through the surface Plasmon Polariton waveguide and the polymer optical waveguide which are connected with each other, and it is used in the optical fiber gyroscope field. From the input end to the output end, the optical fiber gyroscope chip sequentially has: an input waveguide (1) and the third output waveguide (7), a directional coupler (2), a symmetrical triple waveguide splitter (3), the first output waveguide (61) and the second output waveguide (62), wherein the input waveguide (1), the first output waveguide (61), the second output waveguide (62) and the third output waveguide (7) are polymer optical waveguides, but the directional coupler (2) and the symmetrical triple waveguide splitter (3) are made from the surface Plasmon Polariton waveguide.

Abstract: A family of one-dimensional image signatures is obtained to represent each one of a sequence of images in a number of translational and rotational orientations. By calculating these image signatures as images are captured, a new current view can be quickly compared to historical views in a manner that is less dependent on the relative orientation of a target and search image. These and other techniques may be employed in a three-dimensional reconstruction process to generate a list of candidate images from among which full three-dimensional registration may be performed to test for an adequate three-dimensional match. In another aspect this approach may be supplemented with a Fourier-based approach that is selectively applied to a subset of the historical images.

Abstract: A method, comprising receiving query data including an image of a person, and detecting a face of the person in the image to create a detected face, generating face data and clothing data using the detected face including a measure of characteristics of the face and clothing of the person, and retrieving images and video for the person and a related group of people by comparing the face data and clothing data of the person with multiple measures for the characteristics of faces and clothing generated from a set of images and video in which other people appear wherein co-appearances of the person with at least some of the other people are used to retrieve content in which the person and people from the related group appear.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a system and a method for generating clothing feature data representative of at least one clothing feature of a piece of clothing being worn by the person in a set of images, and training a discriminative clothing classifier using the clothing feature data to provide a personal clothing model that corresponds to the piece of clothing. The personal clothing model can be used to identify additional images in which the person appears.

Abstract: A hydraulic control device for a hybrid transmission is designed such that the cooling and lubrication oil line of the system are in oil communication even before the main oil line pressure reaches the set pressure of the overflow valve, so as to lubricate the transmission as soon as possible. The hybrid transmission design further provides an overpressure protection for the cooler. The hybrid transmission further uses a proportional pressure reducing valve to control the lock-up clutch, thus making for the improvement of its braking performance.

Abstract: The disclosure is related to a system and method for learning robust clothing clustering based on a cluster ensemble technique applied to the clothing features of images to improve clustering of images. Different types of clothing features that are complementary to each other are computed to provide extensive description of the clothing in the images. Multiple partitions are computed based on the clothing features to generate a cluster ensemble set. A consensus function is applied to the multiple partitions to generate a final clothing consensus clustering that encompasses the information contained in the multiple partitions. A system and method are disclosed for clustering images based on the clothing of one or more persons in the images.

Key-frame extraction according to the present teachings includes segmenting a video into a set of shots each having a set of video frames and selecting a set of key-frames from the shots in response to an image quality of the corresponding video frames. The present techniques include a set of user selectable modes that enable key-frame extraction to be adapted to an underlying platform.

An example system includes a memory for storing computer executable instructions, and a processing unit for accessing the memory and executing the computer executable instructions. The computer executable instructions include an age class estimator to classify a plurality of images of the individual into age classes, each age class corresponding to an interval of age, and each image having a known time stamp, a probability determination engine to determine, for each age class, a value of class probability that an image in the collection falls within the age class, an age determination engine to determine a transition time based on the values of class probability and the known time stamp, and to determine the estimated age of the individual based on the determined transition time.
