    Abstract: A surface mountable over-current protection device comprises one PTC material layer, first and second conductive layers, first and second electrodes, and an insulating layer. The PTC material layer comprises crystalline polymer and conductive filler dispersed therein. The first and second conductive layers are disposed on first and second planar surfaces of the PTC material layer, respectively. The first and second electrodes are electrically connected to the first and second conductive layers. The insulating layer is disposed between the first and the second electrodes for insulation. At the melting point of the crystalline polymer, the CTE of the crystalline polymer is greater than 100 times the CTE of the first or second conductive layer, and the first and/or second conductive layers has a thickness which is large enough to obtain a resistance jump value R3/Ri less than 1.4.

A probe is disposed on a sleeve port of the main sleeve and is passed through a sleeve port of a protective hole. Thus the probe is hidden in the protective sleeve. Thereby damages of the probe caused by impact force received can be avoided.

The audio device generates identification data, control signals, and original audio signals. The silence detection circuit detects silence segments of the original audio signals, and generates driving signals if the silence segments are detected. Then the condition determining circuit determines if the identification data needs to be appended into the silence segments according to the driving signals and the control signals, and outputs the identification data in DC signal form if the identification data needs to be appended into the silence segments. After DC voltage level of the identification data in DC signal form is biased, the appending circuit appends the biased identification data into the silence segments of the original audio signals.

The base film of the patterned adhesive tape may have an electrically conductive coating or layer, or may be electrically conductive itself to reduce the potential of electrostatic discharge damage during the backgrinding process.
